The first two days of trial show that it is important to practice it, to get a feeling how the set-up works.

The first shows there is a glitch in the Picture section, though there are meaningful contact sheets and a few big pictures (most likely from the site), as per the check list, no point is rewarded. I felt it should get a point for "a few good picture". Can someone help to phrase "some good pictures" in something more objective?

I feel as well, that for some items, points should not be given, but rather deducted from the elsewise given points:

for having the title and/or description in ALL CAPITALS
for having the "�" sign in the title or description
for asking for Seed Bonus Points

That would give the room for more 3 more "Picture" items

Maybe we could make a general entry, something like using a decent char set in title and description, that will include the useless caps and unreadable symbols.

As for the SBP begging: I still think this should be taken into account separately.

And I have a question: what do we do if the description is entirely not in English? It would be hard to analyze its content.

There is only one thing.
I don't know if that would be too much work for the moderators but I wonder if it makes sense to award the points immediately at approval time.
This uploader (I assume it's the same in all three cases because the uploads are formatted in a similar way) does very well and gets rewarded for uploads meeting most criteria BUT there seem to be problems with his files!
Of course you guys cannot check the quality of the file at approval but waiting 24 hours before awarding the points gives you the opportunity to see the complaints in the comments section.
I haven't downloaded them myself so I can't tell what's wrong. But there seem to be issues.

If you ever go to a site and they have like key words or whatever, almost every scene has the same tags or words.

for me a tag is something useful and pertinent:
the models names are important, the studios are important- they tell more about the clip than "twink" or "hunk" or "college" or "blonde"

i would ask ballard but he doesnt allow his profile being shown which is pointless now because nothing is on there anymore that is personal.
could be a vista glitch. has no trouble making avi or wmv some others, but not mp4, mov, mkv…alas....

I always use the VLC player. It handles all formats and does great highres screenshots and thumbs…
Maybe not as convenient than a dedicated program but I like the output.

yeah i read it and my opinion is it's filler.
if they were linked it wouldn't be- there would be a use for it.
this is the forum and that's my take on it.
i will still do it to be anal about my posts, but i don't think it helps anyone or that anyone will use them as they stand now…
i also think it is appropriate in this topic because it's one (or two) of the criteria for bonus points for a well-prepared torrent, so clarification and opinions on it seem warranted…

These work with Image Grabber II, if you have installed a media splitter and codec to play such files or got Windows 7. I guess you have installed such, if not install Haali Media Splitter to open the .mov, .mp4, .mkv files and ffdshow MPEG-4 (or tryouts SVN built) which adds tons of decoding support.

The trick is that Image Grabber II doesn't know these .mov and .mkv extensions to be AV files (certainly because of it's age and no longer supported), but you can select "show all files" or "." as browsing option bottom right of its window.

Attribution these points takes some extra time, going back 24 hours later to rate will require more work either by reviewing a second time or by keeping well organised the results somewhere aside for 24 hours …

In fact we don't rate the files shared with the torrent, only how it is presented.

dont understand this. i can play the scenes fine- just when i open the image grabber it errors or doesnt even show the thumbnails in the file for the mp4 or others- (looks empty)

I uses Image Grabber II on Windows Vista, not the first version, nor the .net version on which I had trouble to get it work on Vista.

the whole reason awarding a bonus that i and others brought up was rejected was because it was stated it was too much work for the moderators- now the moderators have made their job even more difficult and involved instead of awarding all uploads a standard bonus and leaving the well prepared torrents to be appreciated by the site members

Obviously you don't have even the slightest clue of how hard is to maintain such a site working properly, when there are 100k people interacting with it each day, and everybody with his own complaints.

You don't give points to uploaders - no, that's bad, let's complain. You try to give points to uploaders - nope, it's still bad, no objectivity at awarding…

OK xenu, this may be a surprise to you, but you won't find absolute objectivity anywhere. That's life and you have to live with it.
