Growing up, one of our family favorites was a BAKED oven "fried" chicken recipe.  Even the "drippings" were delicious.

As an adult, I personally prefer boneless skinless chicken breasts.  This works the same except decrease the baking time.

The original recipe is designed for one chicken in 8 pieces.

      | Chicken pieces – duh |

      | 1 | stick | butter – 1/4 pound |
      | 1/4 | teaspoon | pepper |
      | 1/2 | teaspoon | paprika |
      | 1/2 | cup | flour |
      | 1 | teaspoon | salt |

Prepare a paste in a saucepan over low heat of all above except chicken.

Coat each piece of chicken on all sides with paste.

      Place in uncovered oven dish.

Bake at 375° for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

I buy the box "Shake And Bake" but this sounds just as good and probably less expensive.
