POST PICTURES FROM FILMS!!!

Would be great if not pics, users could get maybe a small 30 sec. or 1 min. video preview of what they're getting. If only there were a way to do that.

If they were able to do that (Which I know there is a way to do) - they could then be charged with copyright infringement, as they would be showing clips of copyrighted material. As far as posting pics of the vids, I know I use Imagegrabber II to post screen caps on the vids I post. If you don't know how to use the program or where to get it send me a pm I will be more than happy to help!!

As we approve torrents we try to ensure that the leechers can get a pretty good idea of what it contains with the description and pictures. For instance a video description suchas "gay latin movie" is not very descriptive. We try not to change or add pictures ourselves (as Mods) in case the movie is misnamed. If you have downloaded a video and wish to make a contact sheet of preview pictures for it then maybe you can post them here http://community.gaytor.rent/index.php?topic=6326.0. I just started this thread. Great idea mascfunguy! I'll let the other mods know that you thought of this ;D

As far as preview vids…I have seen that on other torrent sites. It keeps you from downloading a crappy quality video but that would totaly be up to the uploader. If we tried to enforce a rule like that, alot of uploaders would just stop sharing

That sort of naming isn't allowed here and the upload is supposed to be rejected.

Maybe its a good thing that every new torrent must have at least the screencaps, and not the tiny ones but "normal" viewable screencaps, sometimes the pics at a torrent are so tiny (post stamp size) that you can not see whats on the pic..

We also find it very frustrating that at least Image Grabber pics are missing on so many torrent posts. We have not posted any torrents at this site,However I always made my posts as detailed as possible ie: cast photos, scene photos and screencaps!!! I think maybe it is because folks are not aware of the bitbucket function here at GT.ru. Dead easy to use and would add much to the descrptions section of a torrent post!!! 2cents worth

I feel your pain. Alot of boxart can be misleading on porn videos. Maybe you can help us out by posting screencaps on contact sheets in the thread I started(mascguys brilliant idea!) http://community.gaytor.rent/index.php?topic=6326.0\. Ziamond has kick started it by posting the contact sheets for the ones he has downloaded. Every little bit helps.

I try to get users to do contact sheets with ImageGrabber before I approve them but they don't always comply. It's not really fair to them to not approve their torrent if they need help with their ratio.

Auto Approve users don't need Mod approval so if they don't post contact sheets and just post box art we can only catch that after the fact.

If as users we would post comments in torrents that say something to the effect of "pics please" or "can you post more than the boxart" one of two things will happen. One, the uploader will correct the torrent or at the very least keep it in mind for future uploads. Two, another user will see the comment and post some it this forum for us http://community.gaytor.rent/index.php?topic=6326.0.
