      @katyggls:

I think you are way over generalizing about females. While I agree it's probably not as common for women to like gay male porn than it is for men to like lesbian porn, a lot of that has to do with the fact that many females feel a lot of shame/guilt about viewing ANY porn, let alone gay porn. Women are usually afraid that if someone finds out they watch porn, people will think they're slutty/whorish/like sex too much (in the world of women, being seen as liking sex too much gets you labeled as a whore/slut and abnormal).

I think we have to remember a distinction made between katyggls (straight) and the original poster of this thread (lesbian), which started all the confusion.

      Kinda repeating myself from earlier…

I don't think it that weird that katyggls likes gay porn, just like it's not weird for straight guys to like porn with lesbian action (very feminine, like juancho says).  The weirdness that got people going is; why would a LESBIAN want to watch gay porn, or a gay guy watch lesbian porn? That makes no sense to me.  Juancho, you got anything that explains that?!  (Not a dis, I find your previous arguments very compelling)

Thanks for not thinking I'm weird, geekguy. ;D I admit that juancho's post kind of came off like he thought that it was weird so my back got up a little. He probably didn't intend that though, I'm just defensive about the issue.

Like I said before, this is even a tiny bit puzzling to me. I guess we'll never know from tamoachan's pov, since it appears she won't be returning to the thread  😢 , but my theory is that she is a lesbian like she said, but at least some small part of her must get turned on by guys. So maybe she's mostly a lesbian but a little bit bi too? I kind of hate saying that, because who the hell am I to define someone else's sexuality, but it's just my opinion. Not that it matters, lol.

actually, my previous views were based on generalizations since we don't really know the OP and i don't really know you but those generalizations are actually based on the majority of women.

i do agree about the stigma faced by women regarding double standards. it has been part of people's patriarchal culture to be lenient to males regarding sexuality while being very strict, harsh and unfair to women. and it's sad to note that even with the improvements we have these past few decades as a people, that unfair labeling of liberated women as sluts/whores/nymphomaniacs is still prevalent in some parts of the world.

but even in cases where women admits liking porn, there only seem to be a very little fraction of straight women admitting to like watching gay porn.

So maybe she's mostly a lesbian but a little bit bi too?

once again, my view is a generalization as a result of a previous scientific research.

females are by nature bisexual. it has something to do with being very expressive, accepting, in-touch with her feelings and not restrained by societal norms to hide them (as opposed to men being afraid to show these said emotions in public for fear of being labeled gay or weak), and the whole psychological aspect of growing up as a female. i believe there's a part of the kinsey report that explains this.

bisexual in this context does not exclusively mean (only) the sexual intercourse aspect. we are also talking about feelings, acceptance, psychological aspect, etc.

in fact, by definition, the best sexual experience (sexual intercourse) (according to studies) happens between a female and another female.

they postulated that the act of sexual intercourse is basically just the use of our tools and its manipulation. which means, if you both have the same tools, you already know how it works and use already proven techniques to make it work. male and female homosexuals have this advantage but females, unlike males, have a very wonderful sexual response cycle in which, when properly stimulated, can give them multiple orgasms (as opposed to males who must deal with the plateau phase after ejaculation). plus, since females are generally caring, gentle, accepting, warm, verbally expressive, etc. then these qualities will enhance the sexual experience.

heterosex is far from that since they both have different equipments and they don't really know how it works, or what technique works best or how it exactly feels when those tools were being manipulated. they're just basically trying to enjoy themselves while hoping for the best that whatever it is they're doing is also making their partner happy or at least satisfied.

this is not an ad for lesbianism conversion, btw! (LOL)

honestly, i don't have anything specific.

but the general idea is that we all have different likes/dislikes and these happen to be like they are because of our previous experiences growing up at home, in the community, school, etc. and our experiences dealing with life in general and other people.

i haven't come across a study or article about this unusual phenomenon but if i have to guess i'd say:

                1. curiousity (we are, after all, a curious lot)
                2. penis envy for lesbians (i don't want to take heat for this. blame freud! i only mean the general idea of having the power the men have in a strongly patriarchal society. ) and gay guys wanting to be the kind of person that they are feeling (a girl trapped in a boy's body which is not standard for all gays).
                3. maybe they just find it funny, maybe?

                i don't really know.

I can also tell you that most women do not actually fantasize about men "fighting over them". That's freaking bizarre. If two men fought over me, I'd think they were both douchebags and go find someone else.  Grin Women don't have nearly the egos that straight men do, so we don't need men to fight over us to stroke our fragile self-esteem.  Tongue

                  please don't take it literally.

the whole fighting over them doesn't necessarily mean that women want a show of violence in honor of them. i didn't say women are war freaks or multiple reincarnations of helen of troy. hehehe

it's just about being attractive and desirable, feeling attractive and desirable and nothing confirms that better than having 2 or more people being attracted to you and desiring you, wanting you to belong to them.

                  … our fragile self-esteem.

                  the world has changed.

women are no longer the way they were.

and although there are still parts of the world that hasn't quite caught up with evolution, majority of the women now are anything but "girls with fragile self-esteem".

                  hehehe…

in fact, almost all the women i know are assertive bitches! (and i mean that in the most affectionate way!)

                  😉

                    @juancho:

but even in cases where women admits liking porn, there only seem to be a very little fraction of straight women admitting to like watching gay porn.

This I concede, however it is more popular than you might think. I read somewhere that in Germany for example, gay male porn is very popular with women, so much so, that they commonly get together to watch it. Don't know if this is actually true, lol, though it wouldn't surprise me since I think that many places in Europe are much more socially/sexually liberal than the United States (where I'm from).

females are by nature bisexual. it has something to do with being very expressive, accepting, in-touch with her feelings and not restrained by societal norms to hide them (as opposed to men being afraid to show these said emotions in public for fear of being labeled gay or weak), and the whole psychological aspect of growing up as a female. i believe there's a part of the kinsey report that explains this.

I think the Kinsey report comes to the conclusion that for the most part everybody is somewhat bisexual, not just females. But I would probably agree with you that women are probably more open to that than men. But again I think that has a lot to do with social conditioning. It seems like men have a lot more fallout and consequences if they decide they are bisexual or gay than women. Everything from being seen as a potential pedophile (nobody ever seems to think that a lesbian might be a pedophile) to being told they are not real men, etc. etc.

in fact, by definition, the best sexual experience (sexual intercourse) (according to studies) happens between a female and another female.

they postulated that the act of sexual intercourse is basically just the use of our tools and its manipulation. which means, if you both have the same tools, you already know how it works and use already proven techniques to make it work. male and female homosexuals have this advantage but females, unlike males, have a very wonderful sexual response cycle in which, when properly stimulated, can give them multiple orgasms (as opposed to males who must deal with the plateau phase after ejaculation). plus, since females are generally caring, gentle, accepting, warm, verbally expressive, etc. then these qualities will enhance the sexual experience.

That's an interesting theory. Kind of depressing for a straight girl to hear, but interesting nonetheless, lol.

It is an interesting question.  As far as I can tell, with guys watching guy-on-guy porn, you have a number of different levels of appreciation, besides the basic "They're doin' it!"

                            • I'd like to be Mr. A

                            • I'd like to be Mr. B

                            • I'd like to be Mr. A doing Mr. B

                            • I'd like to be Mr. B being done by Mr. A

                            • I like to watch Mr. A doing anyone (and if he will do Mr B, I have a chance!)

                            • I like to be Mr. B being done by anyone (and if he will let Mr A do him, I have a chance!)

This compares to the simple straight model of

                            • I'd like to do her

                            • If she will do him, then I have a chance (the "Ron Jeremy Rule")

Or, for lesbian porn and straight guys,

                            • They are just getting each other heated up for me

                            • NOT Hey, they don't even need me!

I remember a visit to a bi-polyamerous friend, and, well, things got tangled up a bit, with him, his boyfriend, me, my boyfriend, and higher-ordered experimental topology, when his girlfriend (also bi-poly) came home, took one look at what was happening, and made a mad dash for the stairs followed by the slamming of the bedroom door.  When the story came back later, it turned out that she wasn't mad, or upset, but that she just got so turned on that she had to take matters into her own hands!  (I think there was some element of her wanting to join in, but she didn't want to upset things with the added complexity of "icky girl parts")

As far as the OP goes, I'd love to hear more of her views too.  Hey, if I can watch Whoopi, Barb, 'Liz, and Sheri, why not on my favourite porn site, too?

Perhaps it's time to retire the old belief that anyone claiming to be a young girl on the internet is really a 45-year-old guy sitting in his boxers in front of the monitor.  On the other hand, I think I need a little private time with that image. 🙂

[you], are you staring at my crotch?
