Renaming a Downloaded File - Will it seed properly?

If I downloaded a file and want to rename/format like the below, will that still seed properly for credit towards my ratio? With the understanding that it remains in the same folder it downloaded to in the first place.
Downloaded: "[Catalina] The_Look_[Jeff Stryker]"
Rename: "Catalina - The Look (Jeff Stryker)"
