A few questions regarding the donation tab

I was planning on donating but since im very new to online payments i have a few questions.
Can i use my my mastercard, debit card, on paying the donation fees? if so how? i checked the donation options and there is only the credit card option, not sure if i can use a debit card on that. Also if i donate i can get an extra download slot? can someone explain to me what that means?
