      Hey there,

I have just over 50 torrents seeding, but 2 of those are shown as leeching on the site. It persistently shows the same two torrents as being downloaded, even though they are fully downloaded and are in seeding mode. The trackers seem to be working, and I've even had success uploading data on these files for other users. Even if I pause the torrent in my client it still shows as leeching on here persistently. I have tried to recheck the torrents and reannounce the tracker and it doesn't fix it.

My ratio is fine so it isn't really a "problem" so to speak, but I don't want this to eventually scale to the point it takes up my download slots. I'm not sure that would happen, but just wondering if this has happened to anybody else or if there's something super obvious I am missing to fix this issue.

      Thanks!

@tbear87 you used the term "fully downloaded" so i have to ask if it means you have selected all the files from that torrent and didn't leave any single file marked as "do not download"

why i ask: the torrent is marked as seeding automatically by the tracker when the client reports back a progress value = 1

the misconception is that, if you leave a single file unmarked/undownloaded, the client interface will show a "100%" progress, but under the hood the actual progress tracked by the torrent controller is <1.

If you have ALL files 100% downloaded, this is a bug.
If you left any file marked as "do not download/unwanted" the torrent stays in the leeching list, even though technically you are not leeching it anymore.

Even if it's on the leeching list, it should not be a problem anymore as it used to be in the past, it will not prevent you from starting new downloads.

Once again I'd like to remind everyone that it's not mandatory that you speak.

@ianfontinell That makes a ton of sense. Those were the only two where I did not download everything I believe. Thanks so much for the explanation! So to be clear, there is no downside to it showing as leeching indefinitely?

the new site layout came with some upgrades to the tracker backend as well, the site admin has fixed an old issue that caused "unfinished" torrents to consume 1 download slot while you're seeding it on your client. over time, you could have several "unfinished" torrents pilling up in your leeching list, which would prevent you from starting new downloads.

now this is fixed, torrents only consume a download slot if they are actually pulling bytes from other peers. so when a torrent is seeding or stalled, they stop using any slot.

they only show up in the leeching list for lack of another place to put them, since they are technically incomplete.

update: apparently it was unfixed 🤣
site says i have 15 leeching torrents, my number of slots is 15, and i cannot start a new download.

so i advise you to be mindful of those incomplete torrents until joker give it another check.

@joker from the 15 leeching torrents reported by the tracker right now, they are all partial downloads that i have finished, and i only have 3 downloads sitting on my client, one of which is stopped:

              all finished, partially:

@ianfontinell is there a way to remove them after all? Even deleting the torrent from my device doesn't remove it from the leeching list.

@tbear87 idk mate i never understood why it has to take so damn long to update the leeching torrents list, everything else is pretty much real time but leeching takes several minutes to update. If you already removed the torrent from your client there's nothing else you can do other than sit and wait until it's gone from your tracker stats.

@tbear87 Removing them from your torrents in your torrent client WILL make them disappear from the leeching list. It just takes a little while for the torrent to time out on the server side once you stop it in your torrent client.
