Discussion And Request for Audiobooks?
-
Hi, for some reason I got hooked on audiobooks, primarily murder mysteries. I am going through the very straight "A 1920s Mystery (Lord Edgington Investigates) by Benedict Brown audiobook series right now, but started with gay themed ones like xxxxxxxxxxxxx and xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Back in the old days I loved reading the gay mysteries of David Stukas with the right mix of mystery and humor. And I am a total sucker for the cozy British murder mysteries series like Midsomer Murders, Father Brown, Sister Boniface, Shakespeare and Hathaway, etc.
I am wondering if this forum has a discussion about audiobooks or a section where one could request audiobooks being uploaded? I would love the rest of the xxxxxxxxxxxxx but can't find them anywhere.

@thundra You can't request them. They're covered by the same "No requests!" rule as goes for videos, and doing so may lead to a temporary ban ... or even a permanent one for repeat offenders.
But searching "Audiobooks" in this forum brings up only two other threads. And as they're from 2010 and 2013, I think we can safely assume they're now dead.
How about making THIS that thread? At the time of writing, you're still able to change the title. How about "Audiobook Recommendations and Discussions", or something like that. (Just think it's a good idea to get "request" out of the title)

If you like a paranormal / fantasy / humour combination, Alice Winters would be good place to start in my opinion. Most are short series - three or four sequential books normally.
"Vampire Related Crimes" and The Hitman's Guide" are two such that I've listened to recently, and had me laughing out loud throughout. The latter isn't paranormal, it's kinda crime related...as the series title suggests.

I fixed it for you.

If you can blag an invite somewhere then My Anonymouse (https://www.myanonamouse.net/) has loads of books and audiobooks. And no, before you ask, I haven't got any invites at the moment. Sorry.

Or try Audiobookbay if you haven't already. I don't remember needing an invite to sign up, though that was many years ago. The link is to the site at .ws, but it's also at .nl and .is. Just do a search on Google for its current iterations if the link doesn't work, though I've just tried it and it does for me.
