Recurbate: Taken Down
-
As RectalTemp highlighted... The domain of recURBATE was seized using the UDRP process, and given to the complainant chatURBATE.
The reason is because sites carrying the same content cannot have domain names that are so similar that they are confused with each other. I assumed that RECurbate was a site run by CHATurbate to resell their content. Flirt4Free used to do that, and probably still does.
I expect that Recurbate will be back very soon, only with a new name that does not include "URBATE" in it's name.

This will be subject to the same seizure risk as the previous sites. -
@tnar wow... the takedown of Recurbate lasted an entire 24 hours!

I assumed that exact same thing.

@RectalTemp Flirt4Free has a similar service for their videos called "Video On Demand" VOD Virtually nobody watches archived videos. Frankly all the archived videos do is confirm that nothing interesting happened.

@RectalTemp Hey guys, has anyone noticed that since this morn, you can no longer download the vids from recurbate.me anymore? I used the old f12 button and when the vid starts playing, media shows no files anymore.... hoping we can find some sort of fix! There will be no way to download the vids otherwise....

If you're on a Windows computer, you should try Internet Download Manager (IDM). I've been a registered user for nearly 20 years, and never have trouble downloading any video I want from any website, whether there's a "DOWNLOAD" button on the page or not.
Regarding Recurbate specifically, I just downloaded a video from there about 20 minutes ago - using IDM. I don't work for the company, but I can tell you IDM is well worth the purchase price for registration if you like downloading videos from various sites, like me. They even have a 30-day free trial.
I don't know what the Apple equivalent would be for IDM, but I'm sure they must have some sort of comparable download manager available out there somewhere.

@RectalTemp thanks for the advice. I'll probably give the free trial a try. I'm hoping there will be some fix for it regardless. Kinda sucks...

@RectalTemp Although Apple hardware and software tend to be better than PC hardware and software, the hardware costs a lot more, and there is a very limited selection of software.

@RectalTemp They were down for 1 day. That is about as long as Cher has gone without having sex.

@lololulu19 hahahahah Isn't she 82?!

I love Cher, but that joke is from a long ago era that hasn't aged as well as she has. But honestly, my heart was warmed just knowing that someone besides myself even remembers who Cher is (...a living legend).
To so many today, music from 5 years ago is already considered "Oldies", smdh.

@RectalTemp the links work again with chrome! Yay
-
@buckadams78 aaaaaand it doesn't work anymore. On chrome, or with internet download manager.
It always stops around 5%. Any idea what to do? Anyone else having the same problem? The link is also gone from chrome. -

I only have ideas, because I'm not experiencing that issue on Recurbate, and I often use Chrome too. The download link appears for me, and IDM (Internet Download Manager) runs flawlessly for me, allowing me to download any of the videos.
This is to say: I don't think the problem is with the site.
I suspect your culprit may be security software that is installed on your machine, or perhaps you have a browser extension installed on Chrome that's screwing things up for you. Maybe start by clearing your cache, disabling your extensions, and ensuring that Chrome is up to date, to see if that helps.
But I think you can safely take problems with the website itself off the table. At least, that has been my personal experience. I am no technician.

@RectalTemp I appreciate the advice. I've already done that and it didn't make a difference..... sighhh... oh well... maybe it will reappear at some point.
