Paul Reubens aka Pee-wee Herman dead @ 70

Paul Reubens created his iconic character, Pee-wee Herman, in 1977 while a member of The Groundlings comedy troupe in LA.
In 1980, he failed in his audition for Saturday Night Live.
In 1981, he debuted his stage show of Pee-wee's Playhouse. This shot him into stardom. It was here that he decided to publicly be Pee-wee Herman.
In 1991, he was arrested for jerking off in an adult porn theater, in Florida. He was basically cancelled because of this.
In 1999, he made his comeback in Mystery Men. He no longer publicly lived as Pee-wee Herman, rather returned to being Paul Reubens.
TV Guide said the Pee-wee's Playhouse (both 1980s and 2000s runs of the show combined) was the 6th biggest TV cult classic and the Pee-wee Herman character was the 4th biggest TV cult classic.
Paul has been fighting cancer (type unknown, as I post this) for the last 6 years but kept that quiet from virtually everyone. He wrote an apology letter a few days before dying, to be released only after his death, saying he was sorry for not saying something earlier.

I always thought it was wrong to arrest him for jacking off in an adult theatre isn't that what people there and why were the cops there in the 1st place?
