Nike is celebrating Pride Month by partnering up with a doctor who performs mastectomies on adolescent girls

Yeah. I just found the name for it.
They were doing "top surgeries" for 15yos and "bottom surgeries" for 17yos.
-
@raphjd At Boston Children’s, we are proud to be home to the first pediatric and adolescent transgender health program in the United States, the Gender Multispecialty Service (GeMS), which has cared for more than 1,000 families to date.
Is that the one?
-
Read my previous post.
-
@raphjd I see. And you're sure that they perform genital surgeries on patients younger than 18 ?You're sure about that?
-
Libs of TikTok busted them on their claim that they didn't do gender surgeries on minors. They had to change their website to their new lie, but that too meant they do gender surgeries on minors.
-
Their website may have changed since the scandal, but they said they do top surgeries on 15yos and bottom surgeries on 17yos.
-
@raphjd interesting. So you're saying the hospital that has an explicit statement on their website that says they don't do surgeries under the age of 18 You're saying that they're lying and that the proof we have that they're lying is something posted on TikTok. ?
-
@raphjd now I know you're going to say " go Google it " so I'm way ahead of you on that I'm looking for this Boston children's hospital scandal you're talking about
-
@raphjd Fox News said
The hospital’s website stated as recently as Aug. 12 that "to qualify for gender affirmation at Boston Children's Hospital, you must be at least 18 years old for phalloplasty or metoidioplasty and at least 17 years old for vaginoplasty," according to The Internet Archive's Wayback Machine.
That wording has since been changed to read, "To qualify for gender affirmation at Boston Children's Hospital, you must be at least 18 years old for phalloplasty or metoidioplasty and for vaginoplasty."
So that was the big lie......?
I still don't see people doing surgeries at 14 you said that was happening so where's your proof
-
You missed out the part where they said they chop off the tits of 15yos.
BTW, 17 is a minor. So their claim that they didn't do any gender surgeries on minors was a lie.

That clinic in Boston had it on their website that they did it from 15.
-
@raphjd breast reduction at 15? I doubt there's much they're chopping off. Wouldn't that be a bump reduction?
For all the people who can get married in the many many many states at the age of 16 I apologize to them on your behalf for calling them children.
Think you're splitting hairs here.... But this takes us back to that percentage of those people who are having these treatments and changing their minds. It's like saying gay marriage should be ruled illegal again because 5% of gay marriages end in divorce
-
It's not "breast reduction", it's breast removal.
Married at 16 with parental permission.
According to you, gay marriage should be illegal since it became legal when a majority of the US was against it at the time.

They did gender surgery at 15.
You tried making about a specific type of gender surgery.
-
@raphjd 100% of breast reductions in trans care should be banned because 5% of them will eventually change their minds. The other 95%, although very upset that they couldn't transition, should nevertheless take comfort in knowing that through their sacrifice they will have spared 5% from having to change their minds
-
@raphjd no matter how much you try to inflate the very minuscule number of people who change their mind as some sort of clarion call we all must heed, the warning of which demonstrates some huge horrible medical mistake affecting people everywhere, you can never erase the thousands more, many more, who successfully undergo these treatments and have no qualms about it. Those numbers will always dwarf the ones who made a mistake

Strawman
I said they should not be allowed to do them on kids.
As already discuss, liberals are weak on crime until 25 because the brain isn't fully developed. So by your own standards, you are performing sex changes on mentally deficient people.
If a serial rapist can't go to jail because he wasn't 25 when he was finally caught, then the same standard needs to be applied to sex changes.

But by your own logic you're not applying that same standard
So the serial rapist wouldn't be punished for the criminal actions they wanted to take while under 25, so why are the 95% of likely successful transitions being punished for the criminal actions they want to take (If transitions were banned?)
-
Your comparison is rubbish, at best.
If the brain is shit until you are 25, then people should have to wait until they are 25 to do adult things.
If the brain is wonderful at 8, then allow anyone 8 and over to do whatever they want.
If an 8yo is competent enough to decide to take puberty blockers because an 8yo brain is so wonderful, we don't we allow them to become prostitutes? Why don't we allow them to vote and get tattoos? Why don't we allow them to get genital piercings?
You refuse to answer that question.
-
@raphjd imagine if you were a man trapped inside a woman's body. Think about the level of psychic depression that would bring upon you.
Would a tattoo help you change your outlook? Would being a prostitute help you change your outlook?
Probably not because neither of those behaviors are ones that really help to counter a deep seated depression arising from being trapped inside a body that you don't feel is yours.
Getting a tattoo and being a prostitute are respectively, frivolous and potentially infectious. Maybe that's why there's age limit to those things (for prostitution, at least in Nevada... I don't believe there's an "age limit" anywhere else for that). The benefits to transitioning care for someone who feels trapped in their body is enormous and easily justifies the age restrictions already in place
