        @raphjd Not possible. Scientists have integrity. They would never say a wrong thing to gain budget, salary or save their jobs. Especially not UN / IPCC, WHO etc.

        (yes that was 100% sarcasm)

          Go back and look at "Email-gate" and East Anglia Univ from about 15 years ago. No integrity.

            @raphjd Yes. To me it's obvious, scientists are "just people" - egotistical, corruptible, often lying & defensive - no worse than others - and no better.

            But I've talked to libs who believe - seriously, for real - that science is a serious unbiased procedure with checks and balances and results that don't depend on the person doing them, thus incorruptible - Scientists are the honest ones.

            Unbelievable.

            Too much Star Trek, I think. The fantasy of it, the values depicted in it, are libs' substitute religion. That & Harry Potter.

              @blablarg18 Clearly you don't know the way the real world works.... At this day and age, everyone has a price.

                  @nix54

                  What are you trying to show me, other than an OPINION and that the person writing it admits scientific bigotry?

                  Do you realize that Scientific American was on the wrong side of history regarding it's statements about covid?

                    To be fair: Plymouth Rock was moved in 1921.

                    So it does NOT indicate 1620 sea level. Still..... 1921.....
