If the world was actually just half as evil as you purport it to be, I don't know how you keep from putting a gun in your mouth!
Gee.. the Federal Government said that IT would cover medical expenses for patients with COVID.
Let me ask you this:
- Toyota issues a recall for brake pads... Says it'll cover the repair costs for any damage to cars who crash because of those brake pads
- You get t-boned (hit from the side) as you pass thru an intersection, and your car is nearly totaled! BUT - your car is a Toyota and has those faulty brake pads!
You can:
a) not file any claims at all - pay to have all the repairs done out of your own pocket
b) decline the offer of Toyota to repair your car at no cost to you - after all, you never even hit the brakes! You never saw it coming! Instead, you file your claim with your insurance company, and pay out the $1000 deductible for your comp & collision coverage. Then you prepare to rework your budget because your insurance rates are going up by about $150/mo - because you were in an accident!
c) You accept the offer from Toyota - get the car fixed and save the $1000, AND save the extra $150/mo for the next 5 years because of the accident history.I mean, the choice is clear: @lololulu19 would take option a in a heart-beat!
We told hospitals that COVID patients' bills would be covered by the Federal Government... a guy - WITH COVID - comes in with 3 gunshot wounds. Do you:
a) treat him for free - eat the loss and keep your resume up-to-date, because this facility is going broke fast, for all the free healthcare they give out!
b) treat him and try to bill his insurance company, or if he has no insurance, find coverage somewhere. If there is no coverage, bill the State's uninsured pool - you'll only get pennies on the dollar, but it's something! Also, keep that resume up to date!
c) check the box for COVID - after all, he DOES have COVID - and bill the Federal Government... get paid at full Medicare rates for everything you do for that patient. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy....And you wonder WHY they would code the patient for COVID-19?
If you leave an open can of tuna outside overnight, are you surprised that local feral animals (cats!) will eat it?
I'm not sure which one you are... Dumb or Dumber!
