All it did was raise prices for things like food. Everything is going to be more expensive now, and more polluted, period. You cannot disregard that the Saudi Empire is making a lot of money off of us when we were totally energy independent...

So I'm to assume by your argument that, by cutting off these pipeline deals the US is going to go back to being a major importer of energy?

You silly, misguided, troll-victim. The US Economy - TODAY - isn't "tanked"! Quite the opposite, it's overheating! (Generating inflation).
And the US is still a gross EXPORTER of both raw and refined energy resources. (Thanks to deeper wells and our good friend fracking!)
Our Energy companies are raking in the dough, the same as the Saudis - however, both are smart enough to be redirecting that cash-flow into R&D on Green Energy!

Inflation: a general increase in prices and fall in the purchasing value of money.
Inflation (in this instance) is caused by an overheating economy... too much growth (coming out of the pandemic shutdown) too fast... and too much cash in the economy...

You must live in NY or Illinois... because virtually every other US state is humming along at 80% or higher of their economic activity (compared to March, 2020 - before the shutdowns)... If you live in Idaho or South Dakota, your economies are ALREADY ahead of where you were in March 2020!
But let's get real here - this isn't some kind of Biden magic - this is the economy coming out of the "artificial" depression of the Covid-19 shutdowns! Add in $4T in combined "stimulus" money, and this economy is growing fast... too TOO fast!

Trump's economy was doing quite well - until COVID-19. No question.
This recovery isn't being guided by either President's economic agenda though - it's like giving the President credit for rain! These jobs were going to come back after the pandemic... look at the Roaring 1920's... and they didn't pump $4T into the economy!

We sell our electricity to a company, who then resells it to their customers.
It's like how the UK government owns the rail lines and companies bid for the contracts to operate the routes.

And we were already heading down the wrong path with interest rates slashed. Maybe someone shouldnt have made it so that Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk paid less taxes than your average Joe. This is why we need HR-1 / SB-1 to pass the Senate. Get dark money out of politics. No more Koch brothers and their secret unlimited funding of both sides of the aisle. get this stuff out in the open with some limits on it so that WE THE PEOPLE can decide the course we want to take. Not the Wealthy elite who control everything now.

While technically true: the planet will not die from climate change, it will most definitely become toxic to the life forms that live here now: both flora AND fauna!
The rising sea-levels have the risk of changing the Ocean's pH levels sufficiently to kill off most of the undersea vegetation and microbiome... when that goes (while that goes), the sea creatures that depend on them for food are in danger (if only for lack of food supply... and it works its way up the chain.
The warming of the waters will directly affect many of the larger sealife.. e.g. salmon and some other migratory fish.
Will other life replace it, most assuredly - and once all the humans die off (or at least most of them), the atmosphere will slowly heal itself (see just the 2-day halt in NA air travel after 9/11!)... the Earth itself most likely will not die - but its lifeforms will certainly change - including becoming inhospitable to that annoying race of humans...

It's vocabulary - and it is admittedly changing (in this case due to the acceptance of Trans)... I realize that threatens your perception of masculinity (in much the same way as "Gay Marriage" seemed to scare the pants off of straight Christians! - Until it came and stayed and there was no great catastrophe!)
Trans people have a right to live their lives in the gender role that they feel most fits them. It really is no different than Gay men and women being allowed to love whomever they please. (Trans people can stop being trans every bit as easily as Gay people can just choose to be Straight!)
