I haven't seem this particular film yet, but in fact many people who suppress their homosexual feelings until they just can't any longer find themselves in crisis.

Friends feel betrayed
Family feels blindsided & betrayed
Former lovers feel "vindicated" and cheated-on

And, sadly, the Gay Community usually offers little support, other than to say "Be out! Be Proud!" - but really, how can they be proud about having lied - to themselves, much less anyone else - for so long.

IMHO, no amount of societal reform will erase the shame and guilt that these people face and feel when they realize how they've been "programmed" by society in ways that run counter to their natural ways.

Long story short: things are FAR EASIER today for young people, emerging from puberty, and aware that they are gay (or even trans!). But they aren't THAT MUCH easier for the 40 y/o father (or mother) of 4 who finally realizes that his (or her) entire adult life has been an emotional and sexual lie!

@bi4smooth I was used to see the flamboyant queen gay type which to me seems very foreign. This is the first movie that I saw were real people are having real issues. That lead me to see other movies like 'Un rubio', 'Theo and Hugo', 'Siberia and Him', 'The acrobat', 'Label me' and others.

I liked it, too. Can't believe it's been 8 years since it came out. There was a crowdfunding for a sequel back in 2017, but no updates since 2019.
