Request re-seed button not working

Maybe it's not an error and it's how it's supposed to work, but I can't click on the request re-seed button in most dead torrents. Some torrents have 0 seeders and I can still click the button. While most torrents with 0 seeders have the request button grayed out... Is this an error or is it just working as intended? If it's the latter, what is happening?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you have to be leeching the file to request a reseed...
Give it a shot... download and start the torrent first, then try the reseed button..

@bi4smooth Unfortunately that doesn't work. I've seen torrents have 0 seeders and 2 leechers, then download the torrent, state that there's 3 leechers and the button remains grayed out

There are certain conditions that need to be met for the reseed button to work.
It has to have been fully seeded to other people. I believe at least 3.
There's also a time frame thing, which I don't remember.
These factors even apply to sttaff.

@raphjd Okay, this makes sense, sadly. The thing is there's quite new torrents that are dead and you can't ask for reseed. Why would someone upload a torrent and immediately stop sharing? Agh.

It seems that lately, we have had an issue with people uploading a torrent but never fully seeding it.
