What happened to gay-torrents.net?

I am sorry if I posted in wrong section, also I am not sure whether I am allowed to ask about other sites here. Couldn't find any rules regarding this but feel free to point it out in case I missed.
I've been having problems to access gay-torrents.net, checked through downforeveryoneorjustme and apparently it is not just me. Saw that it has been down for 6 hours (or more perhaps?). Anyone having same problem? I am not sure where to read the update regarding the site since the forum also been down.

@coffeeguy69 For a long time it was not possible to access the website without secure protocol (HTTPS). It was necessary to type https:// before the domain in the URL otherwise connection would fail.
