When the torrents stop working, do you see any kind of error message in the trackers tab on your torrent client, and if so, what is it?

It's possible that the issue could be related to a recent change to the system's back-end. If this is the case, you may be able to resolve this by rebooting your computer to flush your computer's DNS cache.

hey, mrmazda. i recant. i got the torrents working for a minute, just long enough to get seeders for my torrents. but now, all the settings i've tried with my vpn have failed, including the same settings that worked initially. nordlynx protocol, udp, tcp, obfuscated servers. i use qbittorrent and the error message says simply "not working" 0 peers. do you think resetting my passkey would fix this?

edit: i will try rebooting, thanks

No. Resetting your passkey won't fix the problem, and will only create a lot more work for you.

With there being no error, this is likely the sign of a timeout, which could mean that there is something further wrong that is going on.

Out of curiosity, what VPN do you use? I personally use PrivateVPN myself.

Lastly, I noticed you use qBitTorrent. Have you disabled or adjusted the settings for torrent queueing? This could be another part of the problem, depending on the number of torrents you have. If disabled, you should have no issue. If enabled to limit the number of simultaneous downloads, I would recommend that you change the maximum number of active torrents and maximum number of maximum uploads to 999. As strange as this may sound, this is often the cause of a lot of problems with qBitTorrent.

How this problem will affect the torrents that are on freeleech?

It shouldn't affect freeleech. It will either affect everything or nothing.

Hey @MrMazda any idea why my downloads are not working? I'm trying to download Freeleech content but they won't start. Some give me "N/V" in qBittorrent. Any help would be appreciated.

When you click on a torrent, then click the "Trackers" tab, does it show an error message next to the tracker, and if so, what error message does it show?

I am getting no throughput on Tixati for Gaytorrent files. (Other sites are fine.) On the tracker status, I'm getting "Connection dropped during SSL negotiation" then it retries over and over again.

Yeah it said N/V, but for some reason it seems to be working now. Thanks though!

We have received a number of complaints from NordVPN users who are unable to connect to our site. This would appear to be something on the NordVPN side, which is dropping the connection before it reaches our servers for some reason. The reason for this is not currently known, however we are investigating it to figure out what exactly is happening and why connections through NordVPN do not seem possible currently.

Thank you.  FYI, I tried the suggested fix of disabling maximum connections, etc., on qBittorrent, but it didn't change anything.  I also tried resetting and that didn't change the situation either.

I used to run both NordVPN and qBittorrent and use torrents from this site without issue, but I noticed these changes when the DDOS attack happened.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

There is currently a known database issue affecting some users with the SSL tracker. Try turning the SSL tracker off in your profile settings.

As well, to change the torrents already in your torrent client from SSL to non-SSL change the beginning of the announce URL from

                                      https://tracker.gaytor.rent/

                                      to

It didn't work.  As long as the VPN is activated, it would render the torrent, regardless of SSL, to be "Not Working."

Are you using NordVPN by any chance? For some reason we seem to have a lot of NordVPN users who have this problem.

hey sorry for the late response. i haven't tested yet today. at first, all i did on nordvpn was change from NordLynx protocol to UDP and enabled Obfuscated servers. That worked for a while and then it didn't. Just a "not working" message on qBittorrent. So eventually what I did was disable the NordVPN very briefly, just long enough to catch a few seeders on qBittorrent. Exit qBittorrent, then connect to NordVPN and then the seeders will stay even though the tracker will say "Not Working"

edit: on nordVPN there is a setting called Custom DNS. I added 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4  it's working now!!
