The questions about the "red or the blue pill" is very common in LGBTq people.

I think if i had the choise years ago, when I was a teenager, I wished I could have been straight. It would have been so much simplier especially in high school.

i have grown up however to learn to accept myself and now I wouldnt change my sexual orientation.

I'm on the same page here. I used to have these thoughts when I was a teenager.
I'm wondering, though.. Do straight people ever feel any (social or whatsoever) pressure to 'learn to accept themselves' ?

Of course they do.  think of all of the industries that would shut down if people were satisfied with themselves.

There are straight men who:  go bald, get fat, don't get the careers that they want, never get to play professional sports, get turned down by women….

When my mother was alive, I had to keep any gay feelings secret as she was a major homophobe…

But while I'm currently in a relationship with a woman, I prefer to be bi instead of fully straight.

Nope, not in a million years.

I love men, and gay sex way too much. And being straight doesn't guarantee that you would be any happier anyway, they have to deal with the same amount of bull crap in life that we all do. It's just human nature.

Have you ever thought about that?

This very question always infuriated me. I was on fire when a therapist asked me that one day. You don't realize it implies that there is something wrong with being gay. I wouldn't change SHIT!! Although there ARE a lot of issues in the gay community; I've also learned a lot about the world, things that I don't think I could have learned otherwise (if I was straight).

I would want to get to be an 18 year old girl for a day so I can get gangbanged by straight men. Football teams, swim teams, frat boys, builders, homeless men, I'd service them all.

Sex and hot men aside; no, I would never want to be straight. Solely because I absolutely LOVE our community.

I would not be straight, if given the choice.

It depends on the socio-economic environment.

I just watched a "Last Week Tonight with Jamie Oliver" clip about the gender disparity in China due to the One Child Policy.
                          https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2019/10/07/last_week_tonight_looks_at_chinas_one_child_policy.html

There are apparently 36 million more native-born males than females.

It would be a nightmare to be born straight in China if you do not have the right family background, education, looks, etc.
Straight and forever single is a very real possibility for these folks.

Interesting question - whilst i was coming to terms with my sexuality i would have jumped at the chance. In hindsight i know that might have been a massive mistake. I'm happy as i am, embraced by friends, family, boyfriend etc.

Right now, no, I wouldn't. However, if this choice had been given to me by the time I was 6 years old, I would have taken it, no second thoughts, in a heartbeat. Growing up gay is always difficult, no kid likes to feel different from the rest. Plus, kids could be horrible to others.

Right now, there's nothing I can do about it, so I better rock that gay status (lol). But honestly, in combination with massive social anxiety, being gay doesn't really help. So yes, life would be easier if I was straight.

for me, no. but i think if you live in a country where being gay is not accepted, then some would like to change

Yes, definitely. Merely because of the family aspect. I would love to start a family, create babies that look like me and my partner. I'm sick of horny guys who are only interested in me because I'm attractive and have a nice butt.

                                          Yes, atm I would

Babysat my nephew a few times recently and he's so adorable and he seems to like me. Makes me want to be a dad.

But I am a scientifically minded person, I got nothing against adoption and it's something if I settled down I would not pass up with my husband but it's not the same

I struggle knowing the purpose of life and understanding it fully, procreation, my own family, it's important to me that one of my children are physically and biologically mine, so I have a family to leave behind.

We all die and are eventually forgotten, but for me to just end and leave nothing to prosper.. It does mess with my head more than I've cared to admit, the struggle of being gay whilst agreeing with being here to be a dad to my own child is the reason I should be here.

Not being able to have that for obvious reasons is upsetting, Holding my nephews and niece makes me want my own

If I had the choice, I'd have been born a white male of Royal lineage from a rich and peaceful country - but NOT too close "in line to the throne" as to be a public spectacle everywhere I went.

Since I'm wishing, I'd also like a 10" penis, blue eyes, flawless skin, perfectly flowing (not thinning) blonde hair, and a personality that made me the envy of all the free world.

The point? Being gay is how I was born... I was born with a lot of good (great!) things (not least of which is being born in the USA), and some less than great... but they are what they are, and I don't generally fantasize about how things would be different "if"... but when I do, I go all out! LOL
