Are you asking that every response have an attached photo?  I have spent a half-hour trying to deliver anything related to the U.S. – pic or no pic -- and I am shooting blanks.  What a pity the donkey pics would be against the site Rules.   :crazy2:

This is a more difficult topic than it first appears.

I didn't think it would be that difficult.

I used to live in Germany - their highways don't have speed limits.
People in the USA eat hamburgers made of donuts.
          Japan has penis parades.
Spain has a festival where you can run with bulls.

Fine.  If I can stretch the topic parameters just a bit, I spent a sabbatical in England, and they have Swan Uppers, who I have seen at work and are said to be unique to the country.

With some help from Google, I learned that Middlesex, Surrey, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Oxfordshire still have this swan upping tradition, although who knows how much longer it will continue to exist.  Simply put, these people count the number of local swans. They report that number, and whether any of the swans have injuries.

That sounds like trainspotting.  Is there a requirement to dress like Gilligan?

How about the U.S. as the only country with an annual horse race where the women spectators traditionally prance around in all manner of eccentric hats while swigging vile mint juleps?

That was the Kentucky Derby, held today!

That would be too much, indeed for the bestiality. But I was asking for that written language vs the regional dialects. How much different can they be?

I remember it being talked here about last year.

But back on topic, in Colombia we put cheese into hot agua de panela (Unrefined sugar drink) just like oreos in milk.

Arranged marriages were a common thing last century for Colombia, a gift from Europa I believe. And just like governesses on England, or the victorian era, fifty years ago in Colombia boys were having their first sexual relationship with grown up women or some prostitutes (The father was the one who set it) and the girls were off to marry from ages 8 to 12 (With the father consent).

                        In Brazil, people:

                        Eat avocado with sugar
Eat sandwiches by holding them with a napkin (to avoid touching the bread)
Eat pizza with a plate, fork and knife (as if it were steak)
Carry a toothbrush and toothpaste to the office (to brush their teeth after lunch)
Throw used toilet papper into a basket that they keep next to the toilet (instead of flushing it)

in Canada we buy milk in bags

It's possible to find them in the UK, too, although you'd have to really look for it. In Brazil they are also available, but it is so rare that many younger people don't even know they exist. They were phased out because the weather is so hot that the milk could go bad while being transported.
