      1. The Post (2017) 7/10
Saw the movie last night. Meryl Streep is superb as always. I like the plot, even though a little bit similar with 2016's Best Picture 'Spotlight'

      2. Molly's Game (2017) 7/10
Jessica Chastain is so hot in this movie and the acting is good. The screenplay is awesome. This one have similarity with 'I, Tonya'.

        Gewoon Vrienden (2018) 7/10
Bland first love-ish story, with a touch of death/immigration/race it could be bittersweet like a Sufjan Stevens album (which they actually talked about, ugh cmbyn's impact again). There's no struggle of dealing with who they are (sexuality) but more about families and social identities, which is a relief.

Favorite moment: making out to a Khalid song "Let's Go", aesthetic and authentic.

        Favorite word: Spotify boyfriend.

Weird that I've only watched this movie last night after reading the last two posts. Yeah, totally agree, this is a very good film, I don't usually watch this Houdini-ish kind of film but like I've said, this movie is badass good. Christian Bale maybe an asshole in real life, but when he acts, he overshadows those who are in the same scene as him. 7.5/10

I have not seen a lot of Christian's films. But I did remember seeing him as a young boy in "Empire of the Sun" (another excellent film) when I saw the cast for this film. So I figured I'd give it a look. As I said before, excellent film.

Saw this one too, about a coming of age during WWII based on the semi autobiographical novel of J. G. Ballard , and even as a child actor he is good. Another one of his badass good acting is in American Psycho (2000)

Didn't enjoy the book nearly as much as I did the film. Would also recommend the movie.

I watched Liam Neeson in The Commuter (2018) last night.  His character is oh-so-similar to the Taken franchise, but he does give it his all, and I love Vera Farmiga, who plays a small but pivotal role.

Allow yourself to accept the far-fetched premise and the near-impossible escapes, and The Commuter does offer 90 minutes of adrenalin-raising entertainment.  6.5/10

I saw Avengers: Infinity War (2018) about last week but just got a chance to write this.

I don't want to spoil anyone, so just go and hit the theater, you won't regret it. The most mysterious marvel movie so far. I gave it 9 out of 10.

I saw Deadpool 2 this afternoon.
I find it easier to describe films than to rate them:
                                      Extreme graphic violence and gore.
Language that would knock a buzzard off a shit wagon.
                                      Cute teen lesbians.
Not so cute references to abuse of children.
A number of humorous cameos.  (Brad Pitt has a literal 'blink and you'll miss him' character.)
Very funny with morbid and cringe humour.

IMO, parodies only work when they can function as the thing that they are parodying.  The bones of this movie are good - there are character arcs where people change through the film due to their own decisions.  The bad guys are plausible villains.  The bad decisions people make are consistent with their characters.  A couple of the good guys are believable as bad asses (Domino and Cable.)

I enjoyed it and recommend it to my friends who are sick puppies.

                                        Raw (2016)

                                        7/10

As I was looking for the name of  the actress who played the protagonist (amazingly), I found out that this was the director's first feature film. Good god. It was visually stunning, and posits a very heterodox view on cannibalism. It was hyped during its release for it's gore, but it was actually pretty tame. It's a quite a thrilling coming of age story.

                                        The Neon Demon (2016)

                                        7/10

Like Raw, it was breathtakingly beautiful. It's a fashion magazine's editorial page every goddamn scene. Story-wise, it reminded me of Junji Ito's Tomie, sans transmogrification. It was delightful.

                                        Team America: World Police (2004)

                                        7/10

A satiric clusterfuck with hilarious flailing puppets. The details in the sets were glorius. Parisian pavementes decorated with concrete croissants? Fucking genius.
                                        "Matt Damon."

                                        The Void (2016)

                                        6.5/10

Good. Acting was meh (almost bad, really), CGI is lackluster. It accomplished what it was trying to do with the "cosmic dread" theme. Quite the Lovecraftian tale.

(Holy crap what a bizarre quartet of films.)

I was good. I like the comedy about the crossing line between DC and Marvel LOL  :rotfl:

                                            Love, Simon (2018)

It's a good movie or I think there would be many good gay movie with kinda this movie big budget.

Let's compare, Moonlight (2016) won Best Picture with only $1.5m budget, and Love, Simon (2018) have $17m budget.

In my opinion, it's a little bit overrated. The story also not that new, about a young high school boy who is dealing with coming out.

                                            I gave it 7/10
