      The Sound of Music (1965)

      8/10

A gorgeous film. Fell in love with Andrews (somehow I feel gayer), she is just a joy to watch.

PS. I'm a couple of decades late, I know.

So, finally I saw Call Me by Your Name (2017).
It's a beautiful film. A romance, a realistic ones, not like most of the romance movie with unrealistic plot, this film is catching every drops real feelings and emotions when you falling in love. Plus Timothée Chalamet awesome performance in his age and Armie Hammer finally find a spot for his highest performance so far. I guess, the last 20 minutes of the film is the most moving scene.

Thanks to James Ivory for beautiful screenplay. I just realize that he also write Maurice that always in Top 10 best gay movie so far. When I saw Maurice for the first time, I cried because its really powerful and the ending is devastating.

But, many people probably will not agree with me, I think the film its really that powerful. I mean, if I can compare to Maurice which I rated 9, I rate Call Me by Your Name (2017) 8/10 or Brokeback Mountain 10/10.

Moonlight took the best prize last year, it could be happened again this year, with one note, Luca Guadagnino win Best Director.

Call you by my name (9/10 Happy atmosphere) (6/10 act)

this movie makes me remember my first and only male-love. back to the college time. at the same hot summer but different fortune. he helps me go out of depression, that’s the first time in my life feel someone really care about me. time goes fly, each of us have owned family, but I still remember that summer. he is my brother. I can’t tell him that he is my lover forever.

Saw Ferdinand (2017) last night. Few minutes of the movie, I suddenly remember a Pulitzer winning novel with similar plot, The Yearling, and adapted to movie The Yearling (1946). Mostly I like the idea of the movie, but I saw too many bully going on in the movie, its funny but not really recommended it, especially to children.

                Lady Bird (2017)

                7.8/10

I haven't enjoyed a coming-of-age so much since The Diary of a Teenage Girl (2015).

                American Beauty (1999)

                8.5/10

A dramatic comedy, and a funny drama. I think the film's DVD trailer described the movie similarly. And that's exactly what it is. And I enjoyed every goddamn second of it.

                Seven Samurai (1954)

                8/10

It took me awhile to get into the movie's pace, but when I did, hot damn. Enjoyable.

PS. I use the word 'enjoy' and its variants quite often.

If I were still capable of feeling shame, I would feel it for sitting through the end of Hellraiser: Judgment.

For those familiar with any of the previous gory, trippy adventures of Pinhead and the Cenobites, you'll be enraged as to how these characters have been shunted aside for very poorly written and acted stretches of "police procedural."

These generic detective story lines make for much tedium, when all you really want is a good skinning alive.  And somehow, they removed all the horror from those few-and-far-between scenes, as well.  There's not enough pot in the world to make this film passable.  3/10.

I watched the first two Hellraiser movies and I like THE IDEAS.  What would Heaven look like for people into BDSM?  What if Hell were a place you had to choice - who would choose it?  Is it possible to watch other people suffer without it damaging your self?

Then the movies started focusing on the spectacle rather than the concepts and lost my interest.

I did enjoy the graphic novels.

                      As to topic:

I saw Black Panther on Tuesday.  9/10

The movie looked great, especially the clothing of the different tribes.  (One of the complaints from African writers about how Africa is depicted in North America is that they ignore tribal identities and homogenize them into a monoculture.)  It seemed to be the best foundation of the Marvel movies:  the actions and motivations of the 'heroes' make sense as do the actions and motivations of the villains.

                        Final Portrait (2017) 6/10

Although one of the lead character here is gay in real life, this is NOT a gay themed film. This is a story of what transpire between American writer James Lord (Armie Hammer) and Swiss painter and sculptor Alberto Giacometti (Geoffrey Rush) when the latter asked the former to sit for a portrait.

Some may find this monotonous but personally I liked this film, actors are good and there are some lighthearted moments.

                          Annihilation (2018) by Alex Garland

It was surreal but intellectually stimulating and intriguing, reminded me a lot of 2001 Space Odyssey. 9/10.

                            Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

While I did enjoy watching this movie, it fell short of being as good as the reviews suggested. It really had great potential. But the script/editing was kind of jumbled and flat. The acting was pretty good.

This is so true, plot was average but with magnificent acting. Story 5.5/10, and the acting 8/10

Very good acting but the character's actions stop having consequences about halfway into the movie.
There are a couple of characters who disappear by walking offstage.  People REALLY complain about that when it happens in Science Fiction.

                                    Good acting but bad plot.

Just finished re-watching Jesus Christ Superstar (1973)

                                      7.5/10

Still quite good and I find Philip Toubus who played Peter, hot, in that movie version. He then became straight porn actor/director using (mostly) the name Paul Thomas.

Visually stunning, underwhelming screenplay adaptation (serving cmbyn teas), as a 95s g*y I don't get most of the references except for the amazing music :blind: but I did enjoy not using my brain for 2 hours.

                                          Game Over Man!
With Adam Devine (seen in the GIF below).

This was better than I expected. Wasn't great but still had some funny moments and kept my interest throughout.

Full of juvenile humor and gore, lot's of gore, way more gore than it really needed.

It had much more gay content than anticipated. Still I wouldn't call this a "gay" or "gay interest" movie. But I wouldn't argue against it belonging on a gay torrent site.

Yes, I screamed at the helicopter flapping sound and may or may not watch this part several times… I love Adam more for his uly cut :dick: and cte butt. The str8 (jokes) were embarrassing and childish but they did what they had to do I guess... Gays were... stereotyped and ridiculous which always make them funny… and hot... and sweet... (Plus C*** D____ is a legend). This was better than most of low-budget boring queer movie I'm obligated to watch... Surely didn't deserve the 5.5/10 IMDb lashing :nurse:
