So, the Chinese New Year (according to my computer search) was yesterday, Friday, February 16.

It took me a long while to notice that it was gonna be the Year of the Dog. I was just watching some TV, and then I see dog facts, the Paw Patrol puppies dressed up in Chinese clothing, and dog-themed marathons.
Sometimes I am too slow to get things.

I have heard it also relates to the elements, no idea what each one represents this year and its characteristics are different as well.
