Gay Themed (Non porn) uploader(s)

Ha ha, and yet someone uploaded all seasons of "The Golden Girls" and the sequel, "The Golden Palace," and I don't remember anyone (including me) complaining. I haven't seen the sequel, but I'm in the fourth season and I don't remember any major or minor gay themes. I guess we all agree The Golden Girls are really gay men?

Although I still have yet to discuss "The Golden Girls" and it's spin off "The Golden Palace" with the higher ups. There are very few episodes in Golden Girls that tackles gay issues as follows

This could house stuff of interest that does not fit any other category. For instance I have quite a collection of gay/gay themed radio programmes. Nowhere to go here. Or the spoken word. Where would I post my collection of Armistead Maupin readings on this site.

Even my copy of Stephen Fry reading Lord of the Rings hasn't got a slot here.

So instead of slapping people down, let's expand opportunities. I definitely think The Golden Girls merits a place for gay interest, if not gay themed.

The 'gay interest' or 'LGBTQ interest' works to be allowed to be shared is quite an old subject. Basically we fail to define what makes something or is of 'gay interest'. So if here someone could come up with a short good definition / rules?

Perhaps we should add something similar to Gay-Torrents.net's "... Additionally, TV shows and movies with a strong Gay following may be permitted at the discretion of staff. …"

At the moment I go by the saying "No plaintiff, no judge", which in practice means the "Golden Girls" didn't cause any complains (yet), but for Interstellar I've seen four (!).

OurGTN also has an 'Other' category which covers a lot of subjects, some of which have their own category here, some of which aren't allowed.

But it is a handy label.

Hi guys, I just would like to add something on the subject.

Popper, when you say "No plaintiff, no judge", I guess it means nobody reports these "non-gay themed" movies right? Well, maybe it's in respect to those who might like this genre. (For example, the movie Lost in the White City, where the guys are cute. But at the end, you discover the movie was just a big tease! ::))

If it's the case, and the site tolerates these movies despite it's uploading policy, why not create a new category called "gay tease" or "gay interest" or whatever you might see fit. Personally, I just hate downloading a gay themed movie to find out at the end that there was absolutely nothing gay about it. $:-\$

yes there are movies here that has nothing to do with gays at all and they upload them only for the sex scenes or the frontal scene like WTF? also not sure why all those Madonna torrents are here but all of this isn't annoying as much as the pedo movies! I saw a few movies here with a pedo character ( not a gay character ) or a movie of a cute child with a nude scene and a random story like why is this here ? ??? it isn't gay related we aren't into this shit

I get rid many of them, but what happened is, when they are gone, another user upload it, so its like never ending job. But, the best way to clear this up is by reporting them.

Because, we mods missed it sometimes, by reporting them, the mods will have a ticket to take a look at that and make a review.

I mentioned this in another thread but I like the idea of having gay-interest and shows with gay followings. I actually couldn't find Golden Palace on any other site. I didn't even think to look for it here until I saw this thread.

I agree, having a "Gay Interest/Gay Following" section would be a wonderful thing. I'm not sure how practical it would be to moderate tho. Pretty difficult to quantify in general.

For example: Wizard of Oz because it has the quintessential gay icon Judy Garland in it (acceptable or not?). The entire TV series of Dynasty because it was played in almost every gay bar during it's original run (acceptable or not?).

Just to pick 2 really random samples, you can see it can be a very subjective thing to have such a category. It's not impossible to moderate, just very unlikely everyone will agree with how it's moderated, and who decided "that wasn't gay enough".

Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
