what is your favourite cat breed? i used to have a main coon and i gotta say they are awesome! he was so sweet and fluffy! not good for allergies though!
I currently have two black female cats and they are very afectionate too!
also male vs female?

I heavily doubt that gender will affect your cat's personality, but to answer your question, I'm partial to a good tabby who isn't temperamental.
