The problem with your statement is that we don't have violence on the right to the degree that we have it on the left. Look at Berkeley, where the left blew stuff up and started fires and busted windows. Look at the Soros funded Antifa and BLM where they literally killed cops and were proud to do so. Soros said his favorite past-time was murdering Jews in Nazi Germany and the leftist organizations take his money. Look at the beating up of women and elderly by the left. The left is INSANE. There is NO comparison, not even close. Sure you might have an instance here and there of a white guy being violent, and there is no excuse for any violence, and Trump actually did say that if any of his supporters were doing that to cut it out. Why are some of you conflating two very, very different issues? No, the violence on the left and right is not the same at all. The right has been reacting violently to the press actually holding them accountable to their words and actions, which is awful and needs to be condemned. Physically assaulting a reporter will get you arrested and charged, no matter where you are. All it will take is one Republican either shooting or gravely injuring a reporter or protester and after being charged with a felony, no others will follow in his footsteps and it would most likely destroy any chance they had with keeping their majority in Congress.
The left has been reacting violently to FREE SPEECH. How can you be perfectly fine with people destroying property just because Milo or Ann Coulter wanted to give a speech? "Well, people didn't die…" is not a valid excuse for the behavior we've been seeing lately. This recent awful behavior cannot be defended just because we don't like what people like Milo and Ann say. When I was in college (2008-2012), we formed arguments to combat racist speech or homophobic speech, we didn't set a building on fire to keep racists and homophobes from stepping foot onto the campus. There are shitty people in the real world and you can't stuff cotton in your ears and shout "La la la, I can't hear you" all your life. You have to be able to prove WHY they're shitty, not destroy things or harm people to keep them from speaking.
