For years I have used uTorrent, presently on version 3.0 (there were some problems with later versions) and have had no problems.

If you can pick up older copies of uTorrent v2.x you should have no problems

          🙂

If you're looking for a good torrent client, regardless of what operating system you're running, I would be inclined to recommend either Transmission or qBitTorrent. They're both pretty light weight and more customizeable compared to the conventional uTorrent app.

If you're looking for something more similar to uTorrent, without the add bullshit, I would be inclined to recommend BitTorrent. It's essentially the same thing, only without the ads. BitTorrent also works equally as well with QTM as uTorrent does.

I mostly use a seedbox so Deluge, ruTorrent and Transmission.

Some sites frown on seedbox use so I switch to utorrent 2.2.1. The best (IMO). It still works well with Windows 10 and is free of most of the ads and spyware which plagued later versions. Google utorrent 2.2.1 and a choice of download sites (AYOR) should come straight up.
