      Hi,

I have read several topics on this board regarding seeding issues and I am still not sure how to solve my problem (if I do actually have a problem).

I'm new on GTru and I've started seeding new torrents for the last couple of days. In every case, my ratio never go over 1.5, which looks wrong to me. It is like I upload one full copy to 1 or 2 other peers and once they have the whole content, they are seeding it and no one ever gets anything from me anymore. I don't have issues with upload speed, I saw that I can upload up to 100kb/s. But then it just stops.
Also, I have not set any restriction for seeding ratio.

Last night I uploaded a 500mb file and I left my computer on all night. This morning, my ratio for this torrent is 1.30 and I see from the torrent page that it has been snatched 34 times… So I've only uploaded about 650mb out of those 34*500=17gb. So, it sure does look wrong to me. I was expecting more like a 3 or 4 ratio (or even more).

I am using qBittorrent and I read this topic https://community.gaytor.rent/index.php?topic=22720.0 where someone said he has a ridiculously small upload ratio using qBittorrent but it is OK when he used uTorrent.
I don't know if it is true, but the problem is, I don't want to use uTorrent because it is bundled with tons of crap.

I'm sorry I can't answer your main question but for the final line, you could go back to an earlier version of uTorrent

I use v3.0 and I stopped there when I saw people having problems with upgrades. I have had no problems with that.

Earlier v2.x have been pretty steady 🙂

OK, so I have installe uTorrent 2.0. I'm not sure yet, but it seems that I am starting to seed a little bit more than with qBittorrent.

The effect you described in the initial post of this topic is typical for torrent clients not being connectible. As soon as there are other seeds available which are connectible, the clients of downloading peers will be better and faster served by those connectible and (almost) nobody will need to download from the not connectible. So the not connectible is used as source only as long as he is the only source.

There are plenty topics about this, just look in the Guides section of the Forum.

That's odd because I was pretty sure I was connectible (connectable?).
Anyway, I just want to confirm that using uTorrent definitely solved the problem. I've been seeding like crazy this afternoon.
