      I used Utorrent for a long time and really liked it but the last few versions have been pretty bad (ads) so I switched to qtorrent. It is a lot like utorrent but seems to work better.

        @boyjohn:

        What is the best torrent program to use? I have utorrent right now. Is there a better one?

        It depends on personal preference. But it also depends on the tracker too. Sometimes for whatever reason (usually security reasons, or problems dealing with ratios), the tracker may ban that client. It's always good practice to check with the tracker BEFORE you install. Some trackers have been known to ban users without question, for using clients not approved for use. And yes, qBitorrent is great! It's slightly different from  µ-torrent, but you'll easily get the hang of it.

          Personally all torrent programs, I believe the best in terms of stability and usability is uTorrent  :cheers: especially its version PRO for non advertising, internal player without downloading … But it is a decision of each person  ;D

            I use uTorrent 3.0 - I stopped at that when they started messing around.

            It does what I want, I don't seem to have problems and if it ain't broke….  🙂

              I use Deluge.  I've tried many others but the reason I like Deluge is because of the label feature that will move the completed file to a specific network folder based on the label.  It allows me to keep my porn organized by studio name.

              This feature used to exist in uTorrent but then they broke it.  It could be fixed now.  I haven't used uTorrent in a while.

                The ads are really easy to remove.  You don't have to buy Pro.  You just have to change a few settings in the Advanced Settings.  It's really easy. Just google it.

                    or easier to remove the ads Utorrent needs to connect to an ip. if you have something like comodo ( firewall) it will ask you if you allow or not Utorrent to connect to some TCP ip. just refuse and no ads ever inside Utorrent.

                      First I used utorrent but then I got this craze to go after open source apps. While qbittorrent is a good program, I'm going back to utorrent because there's much more tiny features that are handy.

                        If you're on a UNIX based operating system such as I am, I have taken a fond linking to Transmission. It's simple and straightforward, and it gets the job done!

                          I use qBittorrent. It is free and an open source alternative to utorrent. https://www.qbittorrent.org/
