      @eastonkellan:

Ours is "Lupang Hinirang_" (which up to this date, some still thought that the title of our National Anthem is "Bayang Magiliw").

For the history of how it became our National Anthem visit this link_ Lupang Hinirang

Thanks! I appreciate the knowledge and the URL link. 😄

I live in Argentina, here is ours:
          Youtube Video

As a musician I can tell there is a great deal of clasicism within and I can even say the composers "borrowed" (so I shouldn't say steal) a lot from Mozart. It's beautiful, we have several ones here dedicated to our most prominent historical figures and some dedicated to some of the most important battles fought during the war of independence in 1800. Its lyrics were written by the Buenos Aires-born politician Vicente López y Planes and the music was composed by the Spanish musician Blas Parera.

          Abbreviated modern version (1924)
          Oíd, mortales, el grito sagrado:
          "¡Libertad! ¡Libertad! ¡Libertad!"
Oíd el ruido de rotas cadenas
ved en trono a la noble igualdad

          Ya su trono dignísimo abrieron
          las Provincias Unidas del Sud
y los libres del mundo responden:
          "¡Al gran pueblo argentino, salud!"
          "¡Al gran pueblo argentino, salud!"
Y los libres del mundo responden:
          "¡Al gran pueblo argentino, salud!"
Y los libres del mundo responden:
          "¡Al gran pueblo argentino, salud!"

          Sean eternos los laureles,
          que supimos conseguir,
          que supimos conseguir.
          Coronados de gloria vivamos
          o juremos con gloria morir!
          O juremos con gloria morir!
          O juremos con gloria morir!

          English translation
          Hear, mortals, the sacred cry:
          "Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!"
Hear the sound of broken chains
          See noble equality enthroned.

Their most worthy throne have now opened
The United Provinces of the South.
And the free people of the world reply:
"To the great Argentine people, hail!"
"To the great Argentine people, hail!"
And the free ones of the world reply:
"To the great Argentine people, hail!"
And the free ones of the world reply:
"To the great Argentine people, hail!"

          May the laurels be eternal
that we were able to achieve
that we were able to achieve
Let us live crowned in glory
or let us swear in glory to die
Or let us swear in glory to die
Or let us swear in glory to die.

I'm french and here you go :
              Link

              And a translation :

              Arise children of the fatherland
The day of glory has arrived
              Against us tyranny's
              Bloody standard is raised
Listen to the sound in the fields
The howling of these fearsome soldiers
They are coming into our midst
To cut the throats of your sons and consorts

To arms citizens Form your battalions
              March, march
              Let impure blood
              Water our furrows

What do they want this horde of slaves
              Of traitors and conspiratorial kings?
              For whom these vile chains
              These long-prepared irons?
Frenchmen, for us, ah! What outrage
              What methods must be taken?
It is us they dare plan
To return to the old slavery!

              What! These foreign cohorts!
They would make laws in our courts!
              What! These mercenary phalanxes
Would cut down our warrior sons
              Good Lord! By chained hands
Our brow would yield under the yoke
The vile despots would have themselves be
              The masters of destiny

              Tremble, tyrants and traitors
The shame of all good men
              Tremble! Your parricidal schemes
              Will receive their just reward
Against you we are all soldiers
If they fall, our young heros
              France will bear new ones
Ready to join the fight against you

              Frenchmen, as magnanimous warriors
Bear or hold back your blows
              Spare these sad victims
That they regret taking up arms against us
              But not these bloody despots
              These accomplices of Bouillé
              All these tigers who pitilessly
              Ripped out their mothers' wombs

              We too shall enlist
When our elders' time has come
To add to the list of deeds
              Inscribed upon their tombs
We are much less jealous of surviving them
              Than of sharing their coffins
We shall have the sublime pride
              Of avenging or joining them

              Drive on sacred patriotism
              Support our avenging arms
              Liberty, cherished liberty
Join the struggle with your defenders
              Under our flags, let victory
              Hurry to your manly tone
So that in death your enemies
See your triumph and our glory!

                  Slovene national anthem

                  SLOVENE LYRICS

                  1. Spet trte so rodile,
                  prijat'lji, vince nam sladko,
                  ki nam oživlja žile,
                  srce razjasni in oko,
                  ki utopi
                  vse skrbi,
                  v potrtih prsih up budi.

                  2. Komu najpred veselo
                  zdravljico, bratje, č'mo zapet'?
                  Bog našo nam deželo,
                  Bog živi ves slovenski svet,
                  brate vse,
                  kar nas je
                  sinov sloveče matere!

                  3. V sovražnike `z oblakov
                  rodu naj naš'ga trešči grom!
                  Prost, ko je bil očakov,
                  naprej naj bo Slovencev dom;
                  naj zdrobe
                  njih roke
si spone, ki jim še teže!

                  4. Edinost, sreča, sprava
k nam naj nazaj se vrnejo!
                  Otrok, kar ima Slava,
vsi naj si v roke sežejo,
                  da oblast
                  in z njo čast,
ko pred, spet naša bosta last!

                  5. Bog živi vas, Slovenke,
                  prelepe, žlahtne rožice!
                  Ni take je mladenke,
                  ko naše je krvi dekle;
                  naj sinov
                  zarod nov
                  iz vas bo strah sovražnikov!

                  6. Mladen'či, zdaj se pije
                  zdravljica vaša, vi naš up!
                  Ljubezni domačije
                  noben naj vam ne usmrti strup;
                  ker po nas
                  bode vas
                  jo srčno branit' klical čas!

                  7. Žive naj vsi narodi
                  ki hrepene dočakat' dan,
                  da koder sonce hodi,
                  prepir iz sveta bo pregnan,
                  da rojak
                  prost bo vsak,
ne vrag, le sosed bo mejak!

                  8. Nazadnje še, prijat'lji,
                  kozarec zase vzdignimo,
                  ki smo zato se zbrat'li,
                  ker dobro v srcu mislimo.
                  Dokaj dni
                  naj živi
Bog, kar nas dobrih je ljudi!

                  –-

                  ENGLISH VERSIFICATION

                  1. The vintage, friends, is over,
And here sweet wine makes, once again,
                  Sad eyes and hearts recover
                  Puts fire into every vein.
                  Drowns dull care
                  Everywhere
And summons hope out of despair.

                  2. To whom with acclamation
And song shall we our first toast give?
God save our land and nation
And all Slovenes where'er they live,
                  Who own the same
                  Blood and name,
And who one glorious Mother claim.

                  3. Let thunder out of heaven
Strike down and smite our wanton foe!
Now, as it once had thriven,
May our dear realm in freedom grow.
                  May fall the last
                  Chains of the past
Which bind us still and hold us fast!

                  4. Let peace, glad conciliation,
Come back to us throughout the land!
                  Towards their destination
                  Let Slavs henceforth go hand-in-hand!
                  Thus again
                  Will honour reign
To justice pledged in our domain.

                  5. To you, our pride past measure,
Our girls! Your beauty, charm and grace!
                  There surely is no treasure
To equal maidens of such race.
                  Sons you'll bear,
                  Who will dare
Defy our foe no matter where.

                  6. Our hope now, our to-morrow -
The youths - we toast and toast with joy.
                  No poisonous blight or sorrow
Your love of homeland shall destroy.
                  With us indeed
                  You're called to heed
Its summons in this hour of need.

                  7. God's blessing on all nations,
Who long and work for that bright day,
                  When o'er earth's habitations
                  No war, no strife shall hold its sway;
                  Who long to see
                  That all men free
No more shall foes, but neighbours be!

                  8. At last to our reunion -
To us the toast! Let it resound,
                  Since in this gay communion
By thoughts of brotherhood we're bound
                  May joyful cheer
                  Ne'er disappear
From all good hearts now gathered here.

The French anthem is the most inspirational. Especially after recent sad events. The real "gusto" the French people give when singing it is amazing.

                        O Canada!

O Canada! Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide, O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land, glorious and free!
                        O Canada, we stand on guard for thee;
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

O Canada! Where pines and maples grow,
Great prairies spread and Lordly rivers flow!
How dear to us thy broad domain,
                        From East to Western sea!
The land of hope for all who toil,
The true North strong and free!
God keep our land, glorious and free.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee!

O Canada! Beneath thy shining skies,
May Stalwart sons, and gentle maidens rise.
To keep thee steadfast thro' the years,
                        From East to Western sea.
                        Our own beloved native land,
Our true North strong and free!
God keep our land, glorious and free.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee!

Ruler supreme, who hearest humble prayer,
Hold our Dominion, in thy loving care.
Help us to find, O God, in thee,
                        A lasting rich reward.
As waiting for the better day,
                        We ever stand on guard.
God keep our land, glorious and free.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee!

                          O Canada!

                          Thanks!…neighbor to the north. 🙂

I'm familiar with the tune, but this was my look at the words. 😄

7 national anthems spoken for…187 to go!

I live in Lebanon and here's our national anthem

                            Youtube Video

                            Lyrics:

                            English Translation :

All of us! For our Country, for our Glory and Flag!
Our valor and our writings are the envy of the ages.
Our mountain and our valley, they bring forth stalwart men.
And to Perfection we devote our words and labor.

All of us! For our Country, for our Glory and Flag!
All of us! For our Country

Our Elders and our children, they await our Country's call,
And on the Day of Crisis they are as Lions of the Jungle.
The heart of our East is ever Lebanon,
May God preserve him until the end of time.

All of us! For our Country, for our Glory and Flag!
All of us! For our Country

The Gems of the East are his land and sea.
Throughout the world his good deeds flow from pole to pole.
And his name is his glory since time began.
The cedars are his pride, his immortality's symbol.

All of us! For our Country, for our Glory and Flag!
All of us! For our Country

                              I live in Lebanon…

                              Thank you.

For whatever reason–probably my small view of the world--but hearing your national anthem, I could've never guessed it to be from a neighbor in the Middle East!

Meaning no offense to any of the 194 neighbors near and far across the globe–and more a demonstration of my ignorance--but it sounded European/Western. Of course I have no idea what constitutes a tune sounding like it hails from the Middle East; but again, with ignorance and a skewed view of the world outside of my bubble, wrongly stereotypes are sometimes used to fill in those gaps of missing information. ???

So thank you again for the knowledge, and as small as that bit of new information might be, it's something new to me and something I would have never considered to find out on my own, and I do value that. 😄

(BTW…my math was wrong in my last post...you represent the 8th country...Now there's 187 to go!)

God Save The Queen here in the UK as a whole but more specific to England, and Northern Ireland have it as their anthem.
Scotland Have "Scotland The Brave" a musical piece or Flower Of Scotland as a vocal anthem.
Wales have their own anthem but I don't know what it is, I know because they sing it in Rugby international matches at Cardiff and it's impressive with 70.000 Welsh voices belting it out.

With 8 noted so far,it's either 187 or 188, according to my most recent check on-line. ???

Regardless, there's still a whole lot of countries yet to be represented. 😄
