Why does glue not stick to the bottle?
-
that is a total mistery to me.

Because glue only becomes sticky once it dries. As long as it's in the tube or bottle, with the cap sealed, the glue doesn't dry. Leave the cap off the tube or bottle of glue, and it most certainly will completely dry up over time.

Glue is made of water and sticky polymers. Water keeps the polymers from sticking together. Once glue is exposed to air, the water evaporates and therefore the glue dries up and sticks together.
