Out of town and Internet
-
I just want to share this
Recently in my out of town meeting, far south of my country, the internet connection is not that good almost to nil point
There is one Resto here, that has a writing on a white board that says (I don't know if the owner only copied it)
"We have no internet here nor wifi for that matter. Pretend it's 1985 and talk to each other personally"

-
I think it's becoming more common at some restos in the provinces. The sign I saw a few weeks back said- "Walang WiFi- mag-usap na lang kayo!" (No Wifi- just talk to each other!)
Part of me agrees- sometimes good conversations can come from being forced offline.

And if you don't want to talk to someone you don't even really need to… I made a trip to a contryside little town recently - internet was neraly inexistent - and I really enjoyed myself reading. Sometimes a good book is all we really need.
