Ryan Lochte and three other US swimmers —Gunnar Bentz, Jack Conger, Jimmy Feigen — were robbed at gunpoint in Rio de Janeiro late on Saturday night.

At least those robbers didn't harmed them physically

and the IOC originally denied it after it was first reported. -
The sheer amount of news coming out about similar events of gunfights and robberies is amazing. I know you can't necessarily police an entire city, but Rio has been known for these issues. Sucks that it is affecting everyone on a world stage, highlighting even more of the issues surrounding these games. On a side note, I saw someone recently mention that the IOC should move the games back to Greece and leave them there. It was the Olympic Games birthplace, they have the infrastructure in place and it would greatly impact their economy…in a positive way, which they really need.

Police in Rio de Janeiro say they have been unable to find any evidence that corroborates the account given by US swimmer Ryan Lochte that he and 3 other swimmers were robbed at gunpoint near the Olympic Village.

Turns out in our news tonight, that robbery reported is pure myth and the swimmers are the one who did something naughty…...
