An uploader challenge…to “serious” uploaders (but open to all)…

When I say “serious”–with no disrespect to others--I’m talking about those of you who look to provide quality as opposed to “quantity.” Looking for offerings that folks will like, popular stuff that sells…stuff that makes the “list.”

Out of a never-ending stream of uploads whose current total is well over 120,000–to be represented among that small fraction of 30 is quite an accomplishment!

With so many uploads, and assuming the number of uploaders to easily be in the tens of thousands, I know I can’t be the only one with a goal of presenting an offering that makes the list, and taking pride in it.

I do agree that I’m one out of what is probably an extremely small group of members spending such an inordinate amount of time on the computer, and mainly for site-related purposes.

What I find hard to believe is that there aren’t others like me as well, whose main focus is also on that “list.” Perhaps not to the same degree of lunacy, but definitely with a level of interest that is substantially greater than zero!

I’m sure some of you have read my forum posts critical to those I refer to as “weak” uploaders with offerings that I consider as being “sad” for one reason or another. A couple of you might have even received a torrent comment from me expressing something to the fact.

Naturally, I couldn’t make that an issue if I myself, had nothing to show as what I would call a “good” example of a torrent.

With all that being said, here’s the challenge…

Match or better the total number of uploads I had, occupying the list at the time I started putting this post together.

That number is 21!

I know this all contradicts my earlier stated posts and concerns regarding uploader anonymity, but fuck that…

With a total like that, Hell yeah I want to do a little boasting!

So, there’s the challenge. (I guess it is about “quantity” as well after all.)

Of course, thanks to all of you downloaders. It goes without saying…none of this is possible without you!

And without a doubt, my thanks to all of you uploaders for the time and effort in putting together such a variety, not to mention amount, of entertainment for us to…

Well, that was the same case for me for a long time, after becoming a member. I was as ignorant of it as you.

What changed that, was seeing one of my uploads on it; and that's when I noticed what the list was.

That's when an interest in it was formed.

Then, one of my uploads which had had been sitting at number one for quite some time, got removed for copyright infringement.

That's when I went into the mode of uploading with a goal of getting my offerings on that list.

And that's where I am today.

I am not really interested in what is on a list like that. I download what I fancy from the torrent list, I upload what I think some people might like from files I have that haven't been posted here.

It's not a competition for me.

What's popular and makes "the list" has nothing to do with what's best quality with respect to any given member. Different people just have different tastes.

Perhaps you wouldn't think as such, if you were to go back and trace the history of dialogue between the two of us, starting from one of my first posts as a new member.

That was the first of more interactions to come, and as I've mentioned, will probably continue; and it's now something that I've come to expect, and truly don't have a problem with.

So really, please do look back and review our "history" together.

I'd be interested to know if you still feel the same, should you decide to.

I never said anything about a vendetta., but yes there is a history, as I've mentioned.

I read it how I see it; and every one of your posts in reference to any of mine, are all contradictory to the point I'm making.

Perhaps you don't see it as such, since this does appear to be a common practice for you, hence your title "Busybody" (aka shit-stirrer)

If you're unable to "go back" and review it, I'd be more than happy to gather it all up for you to check out; but as a I said earlier, it's now something I've come to expect, and I've got no problem with.
