I used to prefer the former because of their quality (i.e. of porn stars, filming/editing, etc.), but I eventually got tired of it. I still watch that type, but only if I'm really into the performers – ignoring the cheesy scripts, bad acting, etc. I skip to the hot action parts and get off. >:D And watching 2 guys paired-off, starting off with an intro-interview before having them go at it with the usual, pre-planned sequence got all too boring to me.
Now, I prefer watching the latter. For the longest time, I considered the raw taping of "Greg & Joey" the hottest porn video(s) ever. I follow Kaden's Xtube Chanel (Skaden11), and enjoy seeing him suck off supposedly straight or bicurious youngins in their cars, dorms, or somewhere kinda public. I dig the videos of FraternityX (and Sketchy Sex sometimes). I watch a lot of self-made, amateur porn that's shared on Tumblr (too many blogs to name, lol).
The thing is, though, the fact that they're being filmed makes it all a 'show.' But the less of it appearing as a directed show (with performers being too 'showy'), the better it is for me… it would be hot to actually see guys being filmed without them knowing it, but where would we really find legit ones like that? :laugh:

As a general rule I prefer porn that shows 'authentic' intimacy or where one of the guys knows how to talk. But it's pretty difficult finding such videos.
As for the guys involved: mature, hairy, beefcake guys usually do the trick.
BDSM videos also often tend to feature guys communicating with each other. A bigger guy dominating another one usually requires some verbal command or the other. This for some reason does it for me.
All the other stuff is basically silent movie fucking with the occasional groan thrown in.

I think this all just goes to show that good porn, like any good film, is not easily achieved. Any two (or more) cute fools can have sex on camera.
