    How to copy from a dvd files

      hi everybody

      i have some DVD i would like to share with you. Unfortunately I don't know how to copy a DVD into my PC and then transform the file into avi or other formats.

      is there a good free software i could use ?

        Assuming the DVD got no copy protection, you can simply copy the "VIDEO_TS" folder into another folder named by the movie on your computer. Already you can share that DVD by creating a torrent from the folder named by the folder.

        If you really want to create an AVI, you could use DVDfab in its free version or AVIdemux. Better would be today to create a mp4 or mkv. A good programme for that is Handbrake.
