This is a very interesting history lesson. I, too, wondered about this very question.

Just recently I downloaded a vid that had LESS genital censoring [obfuscation] than typical. It was called http://tracker.gaytor.rent/details.php?id=63503 with a filename of disc1.avi and was wonderful.

This particular torrent was listed under "fetish" with a description of "Japanese Gay Fetish Video! piss, cum, fuck…" It was really a video about a cum-sucking glory hole freak [just my type!!!]. The video was about 90 minutes, starting with some set set-up and followed by trailers – lasting 115 minutes in total. I was really pleased that the censoring was only minor. Great vid to check out if this is your niche. Below are two screenshots from this video.

Admittedly, sometimes I really like that things are obscured (like seeing hot guys wearing clothes - yet on another level). For example, see below for two screenshots from [COAT WEST] MANIAC 8 -SPY CAM-(165m1s).avi.torrent. Below are two screenshots from another video that provides MORE censorship, yet is still very hot.

Have some playboys without blur or something because cant see the genital of woman XD, some places the hetero is open public .-. so can see what have inside…. but gay ones no...
isnt only the japanese movies, but outside comming movies needs to put blur or something for cover genitals .-. also u cant bring to japan pornograph things with u ....

Can't recall where, but I have definitely seen some HD uncensored ones. :cheesy2:

there are some from Scanlust that are uncensored. Also here in GT, there are some uncensored ones but very very few.

i just love japanese vids eventhough some are censored.

but it is hard to find bara japs - censored or uncensored.

I've always wondered why, being so easy in an island, don't they rent a ship, make the porn oversees and sell them as importation porn. I presume US porn is not censored when it lands in japan.

You know, the price of porn in Japan is higher than Amercan's. The price for a standar dvd is about 10.000 yen (nearly 100$, but it goes with lots of stuff like card, information about actor) and the imported porn stuff's price is much higher than the domestic one.
With a high price like that, I don't think the company can last long.

This is such a shame since Japanese guys are often super hot and Japanese porn companies often do sub-genres and fetishes that a lot of other companies do not. I hope they revise their laws.

This actually has something to do with (really, a lot to do with) Macarthur's rewriting the Japanese Constitution after WWII. This has become a sort of holy writ, rather like that promulgated by the American founding fathers (hence the Yankee preoccupation with 'muh guns')
