This actually has something to do with (really, a lot to do with) Macarthur's rewriting the Japanese Constitution after WWII. This has become a sort of holy writ, rather like that promulgated by the American founding fathers (hence the Yankee preoccupation with 'muh guns')

This is such a shame since Japanese guys are often super hot and Japanese porn companies often do sub-genres and fetishes that a lot of other companies do not. I hope they revise their laws.

You know, the price of porn in Japan is higher than Amercan's. The price for a standar dvd is about 10.000 yen (nearly 100$, but it goes with lots of stuff like card, information about actor) and the imported porn stuff's price is much higher than the domestic one.
With a high price like that, I don't think the company can last long.

there are some from Scanlust that are uncensored. Also here in GT, there are some uncensored ones but very very few.

i just love japanese vids eventhough some are censored.

but it is hard to find bara japs - censored or uncensored.

However, the recent ones will only have a blur, and does not really matter if it there or not.
So, the trick is to find the recent ones.

However, the Japan porn's selling point is not from the genital, but the cute asian face and their moan.
This is true for both gay porn and hetero porn.

It is a bizarre law. How can you censor porn? Like come on. You either ban porn or you allow it. Porn is about sexual acts and the last time I checked sex organs play a major role in that kind of acts

It really turns me off, even comics, anime is censored…

The only way to avoid this is to look for videos made outside of Japan. Hope they will change the law someday, preferably sooner than later.

As the OP djfurie indicated, Japanese porn has some of the most extreme kinds of material, but it also has some great fetish stuff that I'm into eg wrestling, chubbie and rugby themed porn. In 2005, the American film Kinsey was allowed to air in Japanese theaters uncensored. The scene in which Dr. Kinsey is giving a slideshow of penis/vagina picture made history as the first ever scene showing human genitalia allowed by the censors.¹

I heard that in Japanese laws that exposure in a film/video of a human genital is illegal. Some uncensored are from the companies do not register their business licences in Japan. Don't know if it is what it is though.
