What is invites?

Im curious about what is invites and what does that do to us?? I saw this when i checked the seed point bonus exchange tab.

Since gt.ru went back to being 'invite only' people who are not members need an invite from a member to join the site.
Some members (people who have been here a while or uploaded a lot for example) are given a certain amount of invites which they can send to friends or people they trust
Buying invites with points is quite expensive.
I'd suggest you build up your points and buy some upload for the moment
