What’s a gay Christian?
-
Yet another attack upon me as opposed to dealing with any of the issues.
You place the definition of ostensible while not realizing I am using the word correctly, what exactly is the purpose here other than to expose your own ingnorance?
Is it a glass bridge you have crawled out from to throw these stones?

What is a gay christian, well it's a human being, a person in it's own roadtrip threw life, following a path with a blindfold and trying to peak… in a kind of shady forest... I'd say that it's either a pagan misinformed or in denial, or a complex guy who likes twisted and distorted logic mixed with cool rites simplefied to mass, it might be someone with a artistic mind that might quote subatomical principles and trasiency and accept ecelectic mixes... being gay or christian is only a tiny part of our beings.
the question is a bit negative in a way... like anything it is filled up with ignorant and some actually really interesting smart people, so why to generalize it?
-
Well, if you don't like it, then don't follow it. There is a growing number of gay Christians. :pope:
-
Well I'm gay by design and Christian by choice… I love Jesus, because He loves me... And yes I believe He loves me, even while I'm having sex with another man... you wanna call me a hypocrite, well you can do as you please... But what I don't really understand are gay people who HATE Christians and think it's ok to disrespect and demean us for our beliefs and yet EXPECT heterosexuals to respect and accept them for who they are. I find that very strange, I wont say it's hypocrisy, I'll simply say it is what it is...
You'll always have one person who says there's proof for and one person that says there's proof against... but each man must be fully convinced in his own mind.

I don't "hate" "Christians".
I hate their actions. The actions that they fully choose to partake in that marginalizes, criminalizes and ultimately dehumanizes every LGBT citizen of the world. Religion is the prime reason why we are still treated unequally (as well as women). People are free to believe whatever they want, and I fully respect that right, but DO NOT expect me to ACCEPT "religion" when it is unquestionably the reason that society at large still looks down upon us collectively.
People instinctively fear what they do not understand. It makes sense, then, that many religious people have an irrational disdain for "them homos", because they do not understand it… along with many, many other things that their blind faith has encouraged them to remain ignorant of throughout their lives. I am not "afraid" of religion; I understand it, quite well in fact, because I was indoctrinated into a rather extreme version of Southern Baptism from a disturbingly young age. What I do NOT understand, is what draws an individual to blindly believe in something that is so plainly a black hole of knowledge of the real world. Religion encourages ignorance of the worldly sciences, and thus how things actually, provably work; of our own biology, physiology and psychology, which has the power to improve the quality of life of everyone around the world; and of the human condition, which is absolutely necessary to understand in order to improve society. The very foundation of religion, being the outdated ideal that it is, is entirely framed around holding back the information that produces progress. And it disgusts me to my very core.

Is it possible to believe that Christianity is true and be a man who's only into other men? Yes but it probably sucks to think that there's a god who hates you whenever you have consensual sexual contact.
-
See that right there, if God wasn't a fan of anal sex why did he place the prostate in the ass and then pronounce the stimulation of your prostate as sin. That is either a very cruel deity or a dimwit. Neither of those gods will hear my prayers.
-
You are the dimwit. Blaming God for your free will is ridiculous, take responsibility for your actions. All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. 1 Corinthians 10:23.

Why would a Creator place a libido stimuli glans in an organ with the exact same average size as the penis filled up with nerval endings… And then say you can't have it ahahah? Logic... people, use logic it's a great friend.
It's not even freewill it's biology... does that god punishes the gay animals too?

Love the person, not the sin.

Doesn't the Bible only explicitly ban — in the original transcript — "sodomy", "effeminacy", "sexual deviancy" and "laying with a man as you would a woman".
-
Sodomy, contrary to what a lot of people seem to think, is not only practised by homosexuals and is not even practised by all homosexuals.
-
In context, effeminacy likely requires to third-gender persons (aka eunuchs); although even if we use the modern-day meaning, "behaving like a woman" is vague. "God hates males genital mutilation for sex-slave purposes."
-
Sexual deviancy is, again, vague.
-
I don't know about all you gays, but I've never been with a woman. So, I can safely say I will never lay with one as I would a woman. Maybe god hates bisexuals?

God doesn't hate anyone, just the sins we commit. Love the person, not the sin. These sins are explicitly spelled out in the Bible; however, people will always choose to bury their heads in the sand. :pope:

Again with the name calling and please point out where exactly I blame God for free will?
What I said is that deity xians worship is a pretty fucked up version of omnipotent no where did I blame God, not even for your shortcomings.
-
Love the person, not the sin.
That's exactly what I think of xians. Except their sin is all the blood on the hands of their faith.

Yup yup people choose to bury their heads in the sand, ignoring facts on the ground for A STORY but because it's called the bible for some reason they think with their heads still firmly in the sand (or their ass in some cases) that this story is more important than other stories.
Noah and the flood 'story' is clearly plagiarized from The Epic of Gilgamesh with even plausible theories on when, how & why it was appropriated BUT the word of god couldn't be stolen, could it?
Continue to place your misplaced faith in these stories but until you can back it up with some evidence remember we don't all have to place faith in your faith. Also if you expect any amount of respect you should begin practicing what you preach.

quoting scripture on a gay porn board
Which, in the grand scheme of things, has to be better than quoting gay porn on a christian board.
"Seed me baby, seed me"
-
Well all things pondered it's not in the 10 commandements given, apparently god is way more pissed at other things people do… making out with the same gender is at the level of wearing gold jewelry or eating shrimp.
-
Well, you asked about religion. If you just want without making cogent arguments, start another thread. If you don't believe in God, then why bring up all the religion nonsense. Maybe, God can make a believer out of you yet? :funny2: :pope:
-
To be clear, if you are referring to me when you say "maybe God can make a believer out of you" then I have been misunderstood. I am not an atheist or a disbeliever. I have no faith in the God of Abraham.
In short, "What's a gay Christian?" can be best answered with "An indoctrinated maschoist".
