I love some movies, but can only take them seldom. But the two that I can watch all the time are "Starship Troopers" (the first one) and "Silent Hill" (the first one as well)

Haven't seen the first. Is that good? I mean, talking to a "puppet" seems boring. But I don't know…  :crazy2:

I wouldn't say I'm happy but also I don't disappointed for this year of Oscar. I saw Boyhood first, I think its a good movie, so its my first frontrunner. Then I saw Birdman, now I changed my choice as Birdman as the frontrunner for Best Picture. Its obvious. Birdman tell a story about a different side if an artist and entertainment industry, its like a hero story that brought us a level about a very different side of entertainment industry that we rarely see, and The Academy loves movies like this (at least this past 1o0 years). You can see some examples, The Artist (2011), brought us to the end of Silent Area and the drama of the characters, the newest one is Argo (2012) brought us a hero story how Hollywood help CIA to rescue six Americans during a crisis in Iran. We can see the obvious track from that line.

@themalefoot: You can't go wrong with anything by Pedro Almodóvar Indeed. Always good plots, character developments and good cinematography. What is/are your favorite/s?

I haven't seen either of them but i heard that the set up of Boyhood was quite challenging. So…. i would vote Boyhood but only for specific reasons.

Hasn't 2014 been the year of television?  I went to see 2 movies in the theatre this year and one of those was the reissue of Gone With The Wind…

@binggobanggo: @Minerboh80: Not all of it was accurate. The sanction mechanism Cooper suffered was all wrong. He should be spagghetified. Sorry, I should have been clear: in terms of what a black hole looks like, it's allegedly accurate. :sorry:

Yeah, Interstellar, seems to me will make its way like Gravity last year, lead the nods included Best Picture, tho lost it, but swept almost all the technical category, sounds, visual effect, editing, cinematography, and even best Director. The Nolan is in a good place to get his first statue for directing and writing
