You really have to be a SICK and TWISTED person to vote for a Republican.  These people cried like snowflakes for the past 7 years and told the American people LIES about how awful ObamaCare is.  Then when they finally have a real chance to repeal it they introduce a massive tax cut for the rich and pretend it's a healthcare bill even though most of ObamaCare remained intact. When that fails they decide to strip away healthcare for millions of people which will ultimately KILL more Americand than ISIS could even dream of killing.  And all the while they decide to KEEP ObamaCare for themselves…....because apparently they like it.  I couldn't have imagined thing would turn out like this.  I know Ryan and McConnell are total scumbags but I hope there are enough Republican with enough morals to stand up against this act of terrorism against Americans.

First off, when the information is biased because it is coming from Clinton supporters…. Yeah, that's NOT debunked OR sourced information. Secondly, you assume I MUST be a Trump supporter because I am against Hillary - NOT TRUE. Expand your horizons, and learn who Bernie Sanders & Jill Stein are. For THAT matter, learn the meaning of "third-party". @Negrescence: You often see post on here vilifying Clinton and using misinformation to claim how corrupt she is. Every post has been debunked with sourced information and with detail and every post against Trump also resides in the same rigor of research and fact-checking.

@Negrescence: @Higgs: How can you hate Macron? He's like crème brûlée - bland, tasteless, inoffensive. Sweet and safe to feed to small children and sick people. The least divisive of all possible dessert-options.  Nobody loves it. Nobody even really enjoys it. But you can't hate it because there's nothing there to hate. Unfortunately the atmosphere of late with political elections has left people drawing ire towards even mild candidates when a "peculiar" candidate like (Trump) Le Pen is serving as the opponent. Populist are stoking fires and exaggerating the reality of things and this is creating infighting among groups that are growing more and more divided. I laugh at this notion that "populist" politicians fuel hatred among different groups. As if millions of people wake up one day and decide they will "hate" certain type of people. I'd like to see specific quotes or policies from Le Pen that are supposedly hateful. It's interesting how people demonize Le Pen and Trump yet ignore that in supposedly "progressive" Germany there were 3,500 attacks on refugees last year. There are more hate crimes against immigrants in Germany than in the US, despite the massive difference in terms of population. But instead of dealing with their own problems, German officials bash Trump and Americans for their choice of president. This groupthink and pathological denialism of their own problems will come at a high cost for Western European countries.

@SemenDemon: Birth Control does not mean contraception indiscriminately practised. It means the release and cultivation of the better elements in our society, and the gradual suppression, elimination and eventual extinction, of defective stocks–those human weeds which threaten the blooming of the finest flowers of American civilization. To be fair, that's still really bad, even without the concocted racism. It's the sort of statement I'd expect to hear from some Randroid speedfreak. I would normally say one could be on the fence when you try to take the quote from a neutral stand but if you read some of there other works you do find that she seems to be rather elitist. She has used the word weeds many times and it is most accurately put to say she uses it to refer to groups that seem more of a burden to society than not in their current state. She has made racist comments though not towards blacks. I'm certain when she uses weeds she is referring blacks, Asians, Indians, orphans, poor and "dumb"  white people, immigrants of the 1920's before the depression. Reading her work would more likely put those race groups on the list only because of their common poor status in the US and less so for their race. Later in her life during and before the civil rights she was ahead of her time in her and approach to other races that seems to be a 180 when looking at some of her early works. She rejected race based inherited traits that likely in her early years she seemed to except. She was still young and knew only what other people "knew". She went out of her way to help minorities and ensured that her staff were of the same mind in her later years. Someone who grew up in the beginnings of the 1900 would have racist beliefs most likely and she seemed to have thrown them off, aside from her anti-mass immigration stance. She was anti-immigrant because the load of immigrants coming in had nothing to offer, were poor, were orphans, and had only dreams  and no awareness or real expectations. It was just america, the land of opportunities to them. We did brand it that way though…. If we cannot except tate people can overcome an evil heritage and rise for the better then Trumps history in the 80-90's should be throwing up warning flags. Sanger did more to lose the poison of the early 1900's and did more for minorities whereas Trump  begrudgingly acquiesces to denounces the kkk in his not-so-fiery way. There are newspaper articles from 1927 with Trumps father being arrested at a clan rally. The papers give their address and and his name. Couple this with his actions with mobster Libuti, the Central Park 5, testimonies from african-americans that worked for him in the 80's that weren't allowed in the front when he was there, his rhetoric during rallies, and etc. then we should hold him in a harsher light. It's 2016, not 1927.

@Dene: To answer the orig Poll question: No - I do not there is little to no peace right now - I have no idea how everything got so freaking messy. Is Obama to blame.. no idea, I think it is too complicated with too many hands in it all for any person "on the street" to even know. I am of the simple belief that a LOT of people - including politicians - added their contributions and we are stuck with this mess of  tensions, too many to list tbh This is a more appropriate response, especially when a lot of people here are summing up the state of the world solely on the duration of Obama's presidency. All the problems we are having today are all sourced back to the 70-80's. It's mind boggling how just that one generation screwed up the world. Our problems with the Taliban is our doing entirely. Reagan funded, armed them to the teeth and endorsed their religiosity. Afghanistan before the US-Russia proxy war there was very similar to other 1st world countries and and regarded Islam as Europeans regarded the bible. I wouldn't be surprised if they were really all atheist. Their women didn't wear head garments and went to universities with men equally to become doctors, lawyer, etc. Then Russia showed up and the US decided to arm the Taliban and make a war. When I say the US I mean Reagan and his supporter because even the CIA thought he was crazy on giving such armaments to a rogue entity. After the conflict and all of Afghanistan was destroyed in the process, Afghans begged us for help to restore their country which now resembled no-mans land. The US just left them without any help to the mercy of the Taliban we armed because Reagan didn't want to waste money on them if the Russians were no longer interested in them. The story goes on until we end up in a multi-trillion dollar war. Jesus, I only mentioned the one happening that has screwed us. This would take all day to go over it all.

HAHAHA!!! You want the news to cover this? They have, when it came out that it was 100% fake. Das trumpenfuhrer's sheep will believe anything, won't you? It'd be funnier if it wasn't so sad, how deluded and gullible you are. His own staff have said that she doesn't live there. Jennifer Rodstrom, a spokeswoman for Trump Hotels, confirmed to BuzzFeed that the claims are not real: “There is no validity to the video,” said, who answered a BuzzFeed News request sent to a transition team spokesperson. “The woman depicted is not our guest.” http://www.snopes.com/black-homeless-woman-says-trump-allowed-live-trump-tower-rent-free/ https://www.buzzfeed.com/salvadorhernandez/no-donald-trump-didnt-let-a-homeless-woman-live-in-a-hotel?utm_term=.irEB5Bd1k#.deqPjPZ0J http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/magazines/panache/rumour-quashed-homeless-woman-claiming-she-lives-in-trump-tower-rent-free-is-fake/articleshow/55905050.cms

@raphjd: I don't need private fire or police insurance to get them to help when needed. NHS systems are failing all over the world.  They are extreme money pits that bleed the tax payers dry. Think about it. Under the NHS, you pay extremely high taxes and you still need medical insurance. Fair enough but the insurance system in the US was failing long before ObamaCare.  It's a money pit that bleeds the middle class dry. Think about it.  Under insurance you pay extremely high premiums and deductibles and we still have worse health outcomes than most other developed countries.

Group rights lead to special rights. Race, religion, and all the other protected groups have special rights over non protected groups. I can't discriminate against blacks or muslims (and many other groups) anywhere in the US, but they can discriminate against me in most of the US.

@raphjd: Not surprisingly, the liberals still won't condemn their fellow liberals for telling lies about me, and others. It says everything about liberals. While my leanings are liberal (but not always)- I for one condemn personal attacks since they are pointless and accomplish nothing. I respect that you've got your views and the better you express them, the more respect I have. For whichever side you're on- at least be well informed and more open minded. Otherwise there's no point in having a discussion. As for lies- the most frustrating thing is that these past months and years have seen the erosion of the line between lies and truth so much, it's always a struggle to tell them apart- but we should never stop trying.

@Waltfore: I usually don't post in these threads, but as a black male living in Detroit I can tell you all that Black on Black crime does exist (I'm not sure if that was a joke or not). We can't go one day here without hearing about how someone was shot on the news, and if it's not shooting it's people stealing from eachother. And a good amount of the time unfortunately it's bystanders and kids that are hurt and it's over stupid crap. There are people who are trying to help out in the community and church leaders and such, but ironically there was a BLM event here where someone started a fight. For the record, I hate the term "Black Lives Matter.", especially when someone touting the mantra is going around killing anyone no matter what color. I also find it weird how some people jump on the "we need to come together as black people" bandwagon (not saying all do this) when if it's any other day of the week or any other situation they wouldn't really give a damn. As it is, I'm more cautious around people I don't know personally that share my skin color than anyone else, and I know people and unfortunately have family members that were killed by other black people for stupid reasons. I just thought I'd throw in my two cents. After thinking about it, maybe Black on Black isn't the right term after all. It seems like it's just crime in general. I don't know. In any case, I think all the violence needs to stop but unfortunately it's not going to happen. I hope you know that most black people and all SJWs hate you.

@vaylon: I cannot believe the pure ignorance and lack of education about history in this thread. The KKK, as well as many other historical items, can not be associated with the two American political parties. First of all Dems and Repubs have switched sides a couple of times over the centuries. So instead of parties, you should think of ideologies. For most of the republican parties existence, it was the home of progressives and socially active politicians. Its why Lincoln freed the slaves. It's how we got continental railway service and veteran affairs. Democrats on the other hand, have just as much been the conservative party. For most of its existence, it was the party of the religious right and thats pretty much where it stayed till the civil rights movement of the 50 and 60's tore both parties apart. Southern conservative democrats, most of which were KKK , refused to abide by any civil rights laws. They accused the federal government of overstepping its authority. Then when they lost all those legal battles, they started doing really nasty things to black people at the state levels to make them unable to vote or even own property. So the federal government stepped in again and pissed a lot of politicians off. Republicans and democrats really didn't know how to handle the disintegration of the parties. But after things started to cool down, conservatives went to the republican party, progressives went to the democratic party. So the KKK was a religious group who sided with the democratic party till the 50's and early 60's. Then when democrats became the progressive party, republicans became home to conservatives and the KKK followed. Parties aside, if it had not been for progressives? America would have fallen back into a monarchy roll a long time ago. Conservatives just do not like change. They fight every social change in American history by tooth and nail.   Civil rights of any kind, equall rights of any kind and gay rights. They just don't like change. America likes to consider itself the home of the free. But if thats the case? Why has America always been one of the last countries to implement freedoms for people. Some of you guys need to seriously quit getting your information from youtube and go read a real history book. A history book? How about just going back to last year when the KKK announced that they supported Hillary and donated $20K to her campaign!? And the liberals were all shitting themselves over fake news that Trump took money from the KKK which was a complete fabrication! Like - OH Trump how dare you! When it was Hillary that took the money! And the KKK announced it! But NO coverage by CNN! Gosh dang! Get it straight!

@MrMazda: Let's be clear here… I have nothing good to say about our Liberal government. In fact, I have lots of nasty things to say about them... For example, when Kathleen Wynne (the Ontario Premier) stepped in, the cost of a license plate renewal was $63/year. Since she's stepped into power, I'm now about to have to pay a whopping $120 to renew my license plates. To make matters worse, when Kathleen Wynne first came to power, I was paying an average of $75 every 2 months including taxes and delivery for my hydro (electricity) service. Of this rate, only about 20% of it was delivery fees. I have since upgraded all my lighting to LED, and made a number of energy efficient changes designed to reduce this cost, but it's of no use. Thanks to Kathleen Wynne, I now average about $180 PER MONTH in hydro (electricity) usage, about 65% of which is delivery fees. I almost had to declare bankruptcy this past winter because I have electric heat... Next thing I knew, when the cold weather came, BAM!!! Up went the hydro (electric) bill to an average of $900/month... That's more than most people pay for their bloody mortgage... And this is all thanks to our Liberal government being as corrupt as the day is long. Also, Kathleen Wynne is also responsible for merging the 5% GST (federal tax) with the 8% PST (provincial tax) to create a 13% HST, which increased the cost of a number of things by 8%, including the price of gas and the labour that you pay your mechanic. To make matters worse, they then introduced the cap and trade, along with a carbon tax. Collectively, between all their fuckery, they raised the price of gasoline (among other things) from the average of $0.890/L ($3.364/gal) up to the whopping $1.219/L ($4.608/gal) that I had to pay yesterday to fill my gas tank. In short, our liberal government is driving us farther and farther into debt, with no regard for anything but their own pocket books... I have NOTHING nice to say about our Liberal government, and even more not nice things to say about our former conservative government.... Just sayin' I'm sorry about what's happening in Ontario. Part of the blame for the green energy scam is on Gerald Butts who is now Trudeau's top senior advisor.
