I wouldn't bring my child to Pride.  It's too sexual.

Ah, feminism. https://menstrualcupreviews.net/best-female-urination-devices-pee-funnels-reviews/ The laws are fine as they are. They could do a generic bathroom for all people (which would be the best choice but squash privacy when you need to get away from your date). The problem isn't with trans people but people with a mental illness who've decided gender is fluid.

@cteavin: http://reason.com/blog/2017/10/20/students-crashed-a-college-republicans-m I just have no words for this type of stupidity. It used to be that young people were taught how to think now they're just mirroring what they hear around them without thinking about it critically. Is this the effect of affirmative action on campus', where people who score lower on the SAT's are let in? Is this a failure of the parents or teachers? Thoughts? Not only is the SAT not really required anymore, they made the test much easier.  The university I went to had high STANDARDS.. but they were not enforced!  Even though I had extremely high SAT scores, they forced all incoming students to take the universities OWN placement test.. which is why I was able to start taking junior level engineering classes in my freshman year.  (that did not work out that well because at least one engineering teacher HATED having a 17 year old that looked 14 years old sitting in his class of people in their 20's.  I have to add an interesting thing about that class… everyone had to share a drafting table with another student... The guy I sat next to me in that class was 27 years old, and was an army veteran.  He was extremely quiet, and the instructor would nearly do that guy's work for him while completely ignoring my questions.  Despite sitting next to the guy for 4 hours a week for a semester, he completely ignored me outside of the classroom when I would see him on campus.  Just one year later, I heard his name on television.  He went into a building on campus, strangled a secretary to death, and sodomized her butt after she was dead.  This was witnessed by 3 students through the small glass window in the office door.  They thought they were watching some kinky sex.  He is in prison and will never be released.. which is GOOD in his case, however, from a LEGAL standpoint, that is a bit harsh.  He had no prior record, was not a violent person (although serving in the army must have required him to do some aggressive things).  So much for being insane!  Florida is famous for very long sentences, executions, etc.  They have the same public defenders for capital 1st degee murderers working on things like petty shoplifting and trespassing charges.  ) About 1/3 of the students admitted to the college had to do 1 year of non-credit remedial courses.  They failed to learn to reed, ryte, and do rithmetic in hye skool. Honesty, college is a waste of time for almost everybody these days.  There is not much need for educated people in society anymore, especially since the computer age.  The medical field is one of the few vocations that REQUIRE a college degree, but even then, most medical functions could be done by just about anybody trained to do that one specific function.  Train some people to do dressings.. some to do injections, some to do liposuction, some to do colonoscopies, some to do catheders, some to do CAT scans / MRI,  some to take X-rays, some to administer anesthesia, some to do LASIK / PRK,  some to do EKGs, etc.  Most people think that doctors are super smart and knowledgeable.. WRONG.  Some people also believe that cops are hard working, brave, and honest.. hahaa!  :hehe: https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/28/sat-act-not-required-colleges_n_2206391.html http://college.usatoday.com/2014/07/07/no-the-sat-is-not-required-more-colleges-join-test-optional-train/

@Frederick: That is exactly the problem.. and I'm not sure how they can fix the problem. There are people born with: If they are "trans"  that person should go to a medical doctor or psychologist or psychiatrist to legally have their ID reflect the gender they want.  I think that would stop a LOT of the problems, but not all.  There are lots of cases where women sexually abuse men (they are usually called "wives").  Everyday you read about some middle aged cougar seducing teenage boys.  The police tend to ignore and turn a blind eye to crimes committed by females (which is why Hillary Clinton is not in prison). The world had worked fine before this became a political event. The problem really isn't trans people as they had been defined: People who were transitioning from one gender to another via surgical means. When those people are in progression their id's should reflect that new gender and they should be able to use the bathroom of their choice. The problem is people are now attempting to say that gender is a choice. Nip that movement in the bud. Just say no. Fluidity isn't progressive, it's ignorant and willful. About women sexually abusing people, we used to romanticise it in the movies. If you were lucky enough to be seduced by an older woman, you wore it like a badge of honor. People would lie about it when I was a kid. I recall Don Johnson talking about his first conquest at 13 with an older woman and the interviewer was like, _oh, how luck_y. Women's appetites haven't changed. Social attitudes towards them have.

@Frederick: I used to work with a guy from Taiwan, and 2 Chinese guys.  I used to drive the Chinese guys crazy because they were not sure if I could understand what they were saying when they were speaking Chinese.  I would act as if I knew..hehe.    The guy from Taiwan's father was a big shot general who was given a town in Taiwan as a gift for his military service.. but left very little to his son in his will  The guy from Taiwan said that the Japanese language is actually a simplified version of Chinese. Is that right?    Also, I know there are 3 major versions of Chinese,   Mandarin, Cantonese, and Traditional. Your friend is talking about the writing system kanji, aka Chinese characters. But Japanese has four official scripts all used within any one document. 1. 漢字 the simplified Chinese characters 2. ひらがな (hiragana) the original phonetic script 3. カタカナ (katakana) another phonetic script used for words of a foreign origin 4. ROMAJI or the Roman script used together with katakana for foreign words or to add impact in ads or for touristy things (but romaji doesn't mean it's English or that the English words written/spoken mean the same thing. For example, naisu gai [nice guy] means handsome and if you read hate it's not at all what you think because you have to read it with the Japanese phonetics in mind). (Now that I think about I guess you could add simple English as a fifth system but it wouldn't be literary, more a means to an end.) Both Chinese and Japanese have kanji that are unique to their languages, too. When I've been through China and Taiwan I can generally get by with no problem by reading what's around me or writing what I want in the Japanese versions of the characters. Kanji are also a part of older Korean, so you'll see it when you're traveling there, too. Chinese grammar is closer to English in structure. Japanese is similar to Korean. Time to learn a language?  ;D

@cteavin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xt-s41Y-wgA This really annoys me. I'm scrolling through Facebook with my morning coffee and find a link of John Kelly's speech explaining why Trump said what he said. The clip was about 10 minutes. Further down the feed were several stories saying that Kelly's speech confirmed how disrespectful Trump was yada, yada, yada showing a 90-second clip – or worse, just a sentence or two. With public discussion of fake news people should scrutinize the news they consume, but they don't. What's the phrase? You can lead a horse to water… What's the solution? With the previous talk here about alleged Russian collusion with Trump's handlers, this is a relevant question. Even if Russia had been feeding fake news to the American people, ultimately it's the reader's fault for believing nonsense. Thoughts? It's "you can lead a whore to culture, but you can't make her think"  or  "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink". In the case of Kelly, the media PRESUMED how he felt about his son and what Trump said.  Kelly refuted what the media said, but even then, the media is still insisting that they know what Kelly is thinking and that Kelly is lying. Meanwhile.. what Trump said about that soldier that died was "he knew what he was getting into.." which is equivalent to saying that "he died in the line of duty".  What is so horrible about saying that?  Would the mother have preferred if her son was killed by friendly fire, or by accident?  No matter what Trump says, it gets shit on by the media.

@raphjd: I'm not saying that Pizza-gate is true.    I'm pointing out that a lot of things that sound fake turned out to be true.    Just because the government denies it, don't mean shit.   Just because the police deny it, don't mean shit. Jimmy Saville was molesting kids for 40 years and it only became "truth" after he died.  He was being protected by the BBC, the government and the police. There were gangs of pedo MPs in the UK too.   They had the run of state run orphanages.   One Welsh MP had keys to a few orphanages and would frequent them in the middle of the night. Until about 10 years ago, the UK government's official stance is that there had never been a woman pedo.   They were forced to change that when a bunch of women, in several cases, were being prosecuted for being pedos. Harold Wilson claimed that MI5 and MI6 were trying to bring down his government.   Originally he thought it was Russia doing it, because that's what MI5 and MI6 told him and made it look like it was Russia.  Somehow he saw through it and claimed it was them.   40 years later, MI5 and MI6 admit it's all true. Maggie Thatcher allowed muslims to have 5 wives.  This was done in semi secret.  When it was brought up, "racist" was thrown around and it was completely denied.   The story blew up and became "truth" about 10 years ago.     So bigamy and polygamy despite being illegal in law, it's perfectly "legal" for some with no care on what the law says. Dame Maggie Thatcher was so cruel!  One wife is bad enough.. but five?  ARRGGH! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0TuXLrvyE4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYGPY6AeegE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4BCUWopQQ4 The left showed no mercy to Thatcher when she died. Sir Jimmy Savile (like Thatcher given the highest honor of being knighted) was something else!  I am proud to say that when I lived in England and Savile was still alive. I hated him THEN before it became popular to hate him.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttUGR8SBHSA [image: 104787_savile.JPG]

@gaypraha2: My country requires ID to vote.  You also have to bring in the enumeration document saying where you are allowed to vote that includes name and address. same here you need 2 documents ID + card issued when you register for voting and you can vote only where you are registered. Only voting where one is registered is a good way to prevent fraud.  There are many cases where busloads of people vote at one place, and then are transported to the next voting place, etc. Even at the same voting place, some people would wear disguises including hats, mustaches, wigs, etc.  I'll bet Hillary brought suitcases filled with every color pantsuit she had, and probably tried dark glasses and a mustache too!

@Oscarbingham: My exact feelings. It's sickening that when ISIS commits a horrific act of terrorism, the media report it far and wide - giving ISIS the attention they were seeking.. yet when Trump (and Putin) dismantle and crush ISIS, the media barely even mention it!
