@duncanlem: Daniels told In Touch. “He told me once that I was someone to be reckoned with, beautiful, smart, just like his daughter” [image: 121e7866e3c1eef2b5b20f2622d23974.png] Infamously, during a 2006 appearance on The View, Trump complimented his daughter’s body and told the panel, “If Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.” Stormy Daniels and Trump may have only had a fling, but he paid her just about the highest compliment he knows. [image: Uaqqwddntitled.jpg] https://www.spin.com/2018/01/stormy-daniels-trump-in-touch-interview-daughter/ i mean its more despicable than funny, but still very funny

@Zeitgeist: Vice President Mike Pence has released a response to gay figure skater Adam Rippon, who earlier this week criticized Pence’s anti-LGBTQ stance. In February, the 28-year-old will be one of three male figure skaters off to Pyeongchang, South Korea for the Olympics. Rippon was quick to explain why he wouldn’t meet Vice President Mike Pence under any circumstances. As Pink News reports, Pence will be leading the US delegation of the upcoming Winter Olympics. “You mean Mike Pence, the same Mike Pence that funded gay conversion therapy?” Rippon asked. “I’m not buying it.” “I don’t think he has a real concept of reality. To stand by some of the things that Donald Trump has said and for Mike Pence to say he’s a devout Christian man is completely contradictory. If he’s okay with what’s being said about people and Americans and foreigners and about different countries that are being called ‘shitholes,’ I think he should really go to church.” Well, now Mike Pence has clapped back at that response, sending off a retort via snippy spokesperson. Pence’s press secretary Alyssa Farah had this to say: “The vice president is proud to lead the U.S. delegation to the Olympics and support America’s incredible athletes. “[Rippon]’s accusation is totally false and has no basis in fact. Despite these misinformed claims, the vice president will be enthusiastically supporting all the U.S. athletes competing next month in Pyeongchang.” Nevertheless, Pence’s stance on the LGBTQ community is well-known. Allegedly, Trump himself smirkingly says Pence wants to hang all gay people. In the 1990s, he penned an article advising employers to never hire gay people. The list goes on and on. @vaylon: Frederick, what you are talking about has been going on long before the news media started playing a part in it. In decades past, when something happened suspects were rounded up and the less desirable of them were most likely to be hung by community outrage. Thats why so many innocent young black men were killed in southern states during the civil rights era. The television news media had a strict code of ethics for a long time. Opinion pieces and hearsay were considered gossip. But then came the late 80's. Jerry Springer show was number one and fox news was launched that broke the mold. The began running opinions of experts as facts and news. Fox news started climbing in the polls and guess what? More and more stations started doing the same thing. Its all about the money. During the early 90's fox news was pretty much an exact copy of reading the Globe or National Inquirer. Not really news but tons of gossip and opinions. They really haven't changed to this day. The entire "pizza gate" sham was all on Fox's head. They were the first to run it and kept it up for weeks. With no proof or backup, just a unverified opinion and gossip. Much like the United Nations is taking over America stories they ran during the Clinton presidency. Today we have the internet that doesn't require any of that integrity. Today you can get the news slanted any way you want. Left, right, and everything else, served up just the way you like it. Today, the mere mention of gossip is almost enough to convict and ruin a persons life and career. Its the modern day weapon of choice of politicians. Destroy your opponent in the poll's and your good to go. One would hope that over time, with vastly improved methods of recording and transmitting information.. these disasters would no longer happen.  Sadly things are as bad as ever. In regards to news organizations,  CNN used to be the undisputed #1 source for accurate news, while Fox News was a joke.  Now the roles have REVERSED.  How did that happen?  I would prefer not to have my news slanted at all.  It would be nice if news organizations stuck to REPORTING the news.

@raphjd: Facebook has admitted they bury news to suit their political agenda. As to the censorship thing, it could be argued that since they actively co-operate/participate in the government spying, that they are a government agent.  That would make them obligated to follow the 1st Amendment. I'm surprised people don't sue colleges for this. One day.. the Facebook balloon will burst. It amuses me that the moonbats defend Facebook.  Hmm.. gee I wonder why?

@raphjd: Obama is a proven liar and the media kept silent. Obama said he would end no-bid contracts, but continued to use them. He said he would end GWB era spying on US citizens, but massively expanded the programs. The only thing Obama didn't lie about was him being born in Hawaii. One can debate where Obama was born.. (how would he know where he was born?) But what cannot be denied is that Obama was raised in muslim Indonesia by an Islamic cleric until the age of 13… and he didn't produce a birth certificate until forced to 1.5 years AFTER being elected president.. and the woman who certified his birth certificate mysteriously died in a plane crash 1 year after certifying that birth certificate.. when all other 20 people on the plane survived.

@Shami94: One of the most interesting and humorous aspects of the way Trump supporters who would not too long ago would have licked Bannon's boots is how they rationalise turning against him. It is interesting because exactly the same process will be replicated in a few months as they turn on Trump himself. It will probably happen most spectacularly when their social media echo chambers can no longer withstand the already massive weight of evidence against Trump over Russian influence on the election scandal. For most thinking people, whether or not there was collusion (though there clearly was), whether or not it effected the result of the election (which it did), the mere fact that an enemy of the USA spent millions of dollars and massive effort to help Trump win the US presidency is something that can't be backed away from. It will be extremely hard for any professional journalist or politician who supports Trump to try to deny that they did not realise the significance of that simple and well established fact. The process of them trying to do it will be very interesting for when Trump goes, thousands of careers in politics and journalism also end. It is hard to imagine how the die hard Trump supporters will handle having their views so strongly repudiated by a restored American democracy. They will have no voice in the media and no one in politics representing them. Some will likely resort to terrorism and civil violence. Some will find a voice in pathetic and cowardly hate groups like the KKK. It will be fun to watch from a distance. Did someone fart?  Oh, nevermind, it was just Shami posting another message.

@duncanlem: In an interview, Schachtner said she thought she beat state Rep. Adam Jarchow (R-Balsam Lake) because the race had turned nasty in mailings from groups outside the district. “It wasn’t nice. It was mean,” she said of the campaign literature. “People just said, ‘You know what? We’re nicer than that.’ ” https://www.jsonline.com/story/news/2018/01/16/wisconsin-voters-chose-legislators-tuesdays-special-elections/1038687001/ This is a traditionally red district…Barack Obama lost the district by 6 points in 2012; Hillary Clinton lost by 17 in 2016. [image: Untaasssqqqitled.jpg] This fall is going to be a beautiful thing! It's gonna spread national [image: obamasmabaget.png] Look what's coming [image: ezgiasssaaaaa.gif] That is the WISCONSIN Senate.. not the US Senate.  The Wisconsin Senate means NOTHING outside of Wisconsin. Is that a photoshopped image of Barack Obama and Michael wearing "Make The Senate Blue Again" hats?  The reason I ask is.. I have not seen a photo of Barack and Michael together since the 2016 election.

@flashboy: In Sweden for about ten years ago when we had an black women in the government, Nyamko Sabuni, (right wing liberal)  she was always by a sort of people on Flashback (it is like a Swedish uncensored version of Reddit) referred to as the ape or the monkey, and there is like no way H&M could not known that. I do think it was an honest mistake from their side, but as long as people keep using the word ape or monkey as a negative term for black people, you don't put a black kid in a tee with that message. Yes.. but as long as people keep freaking out when a black kid is put in a tee with that message.. people will continue to associate black people with apes or monkeys. They could never make this show with a black cast… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEYNuU6Xtms

@Shami94: Ignoring your extremely bazaar fantasy that reporters record off the record interviews (other than as notes), the substance of Wolff's book in regard to the "President's" mental health and fitness for office is on the public record. His tweets are public record. His attempt to claim the the voice on the Billy Bush "grab them by the pussy" tape was not him and that is was digitally altered is on the public record. His claim the Obama bugged Trump Tower is on the public record. His claims about the crowd size at his inauguration is on the public record. His speech the day after his inauguration to the CIA is on the public record. I'm surprised that you are admitting that Michael Wolff's book is based upon previous publicly made statements instead of any interviews that Wolff pretended to make. By the way.. you misstated what Trump said about Obama.. you said "Obama bugged Trump".  What Trump actually said was "Obama WIRETAPPED Trump Tower" - which we now know to be true.  Bugging is one specific thing.. wiretapping involves any form of intercepting communications illicitly.  The definition of wiretapping expanded after the internet became a method of communication.  Now wiretapping includes both audio AND electronic surveillance. The crowd size comment was a rebound over the photos showing huge empty spaces - which were extremely misleading.  What Trump should have said was that the crowds were normal, not small.  Instead he said the crowds were huge, not small - which got him in trouble.  Also, it was raining.. which people tend to forget.  I recall watching video of villiage idiot George W Bush trying to put on a rain parka and failing - as Dick Cheney looked on in disbelief and laughter. His Billy Bush comments were taken out of context.  But then again.. so what? Despite it's massive expectations, that "Fire and Fury" book has turned out to be a nothing dud.
