Like most things in the US, each state can decide what/how it wants to do things. The Electorial College is based on the House of Representitives districts. Some states have an "all or nothing" system where the person who gets the majority of the vote wins all of the EC votes for that state. Some states have a disctric by district EC system. Most states legally require the EC member to vote the way their district voted in district by disctrict systems, while a minority of states allow EC members to vote however they want.  In 2000, about 6 EC members voted the opposite way their district did, supposedly as a protest.

Not all vets are poor, especially those who do the full 20 to 30 years. A lot of the problems stem from mental illness as a result of serving in the military in armed conflict. Also, many suffer injuries and the VA (Veterans Administration) keeps losing funding, regardless of who the President is.    Now it seems that the VA only helps when it's forced to.    Even when they have a legal obligation to take of vets, such as my dad who retired after 30 years, they fight so they don't have to.  When my dad died, the VA would only give him a military funeral if we paid for it.  My aunt found a charity that provided the Honour Guard and such. Even worse is that the UK didn't have any places for soldiers to recuperate with their families until US talk show host Montel Williams and his charity built Fisher House near Birmingham.  Amputees and those with severe injuries recuperate and learn how to live life with their new circumstances. Montel Williams and his charity built several such places in the US as well.

It might have been Christopher Hitchens, originally. That being said, Ben Shapiro has been saying it for a few years now.

Ok, let's forget the chemical attack for a second. The point of the US, UK, France attack was not to kill but to take away Assad's assets so he can't use them against his people.

Outside of politicis. I'm a North African Jew who lies in Canada.  BY LAW, persons of North African and West Asian descent are to define themselves as 'White' on the American and Canadian census since 1975.  You are as White as Arabs, Berbers, Turks, Greeks, Armenians and Persians.  If you're Ashkenaz you're of European descent and have been legally 'White' in America since the 1950s. If you are living in the majority of European countries you would be legally non-White, the same as Roma, Sinti, or Turkish peoples in Europe. Culturally, if you're just discovering that you might not be White - you're most likely White  The anti-Semites who hate White people will consider you White and the anti-Semites who revere Whiteness will regard you as non-White.  Given that Yom HaShoah was last Wednesday it shouldn't be THAT much of a surprise.

@r0lf: Where are you getting your figures on UK gun crime? Also. The UK and other countries that have gun control do not have mass shootings every second day! Any gun crime with an illegal gun shouldn't happen, according to the left.    So that kids who was shot and killed riding his bike home from football practices shouldn't have existed.

I agree with AG Sessions on this one.  The 1964 Civil Rights Act never provided protection for us.  It was written years before Stonewall.  While what happened is cruel, we don't get the right to enforce imaginery laws. We should be pushing hard to amend the 1964 Civil Rights Act to cover us.  That's the way the process is suppose to work, and in a democracy, the process is more important than the result if we want democracy to continue to work.

On the key issues facing the US, what's the difference?  The two key issues facing all nations today are immigration & free trade.  Both parties want immigration.  Dems want votes and GOP wants cheap labor, and because of this, they must have free trade to get access to cheaper raw consumer goods.  Trump has hijacked the Republican Party to oppose these positions, but in reality, the majority of the GOP is in lock step with the Old Guard.  There are social wedge issues, but on the biggest two challlenges, there's a consenus, a consenus I vehemently oppose.

Google is trying to bury the story.  They don't even list the article I linked to in the post above. Use DuckDuckGo.

It's not so much about political parties, but about the people. Using the UK Labour Party as an example, it was the ubber cheap membership fees that brought Corbyn into power.    He would never have come to power without the dole scum communists that now make up the bulk of the Labour Party.  Without these people, we'd still have the Blairite Labour Party where it was cool to be rich. A lot of this leftist hate filled crap is being taught in schools and universities as mandatory courses. We have "ethics" professors wearing masks and smashing at least 11 people over the head with his bike lock and slinking back into the crowd. We have a 6th-grade teacher indoctrinating her students into "By Any Means Necessary" which usually means violence.  We have a black lesbian professor threatening violence against white professors if they don't obey the non-white students.  Everything at Evergreen College, basically.  Portland University ran anti-white courses that were funded by student tuition.  An officially sanctioned "white people go around" event that forced white students to walk through a creek to get to class, which had police there to enforce it. Feminism is a total lie and the media, political parties and whatnot constantly push that lies, despite all the proof debunking it.  The UK has countless examples of gender inequality against men, but nothing is ever said about it, while made up shit about anti-women is constantly spewed.  In the UK, feminist are pushing a petition to put back the vaginal retirement age to 60 and put the working credits back to 17 years, which includes stay at home moms.  How the fuck is that about gender equality?! UK police are pandering to feminists and their fake rape claims, by hiding evidence that proves the man is innocent.  How many men have this happened to and how long has it been going on?!  To increase the conviction rates for rapes, the police (and probably the Crown Prosecution) has been hiding evidence that proves men are innocent. It's just as shitty as 40+ years of hiding muslim rape gangs in the UK for fear of being called racist.    Who cares about the nearly 6,000 young white girls who were victims of this (that we know about so far), as long as the muslims are happy. BTW, I think you are new to this section, so I'll make my declaration again.  I am a classic liberal and I despise this modern liberalism. ++++ All political parties are shit, but they have differing reasons for it.

Switzerland is the most heavily armed nation, and yet has practically no homicides.  Same can be said of Japan, in which they are disarmed.  On Australia, the data is inconclusive, as their experiment is in the relative youthful stages of long term data.  Australia has seen a spike in violent crime recently, but I would refrain from using them for comparison purposes until there's at least ten more year worth of data to draw from. However, in the United States, the problems are much more complex.  Do you live on a rural ranch in New Mexico near the US-Mexican border where cartels are as heavily armed in many cases as the US military?  Do you live on a rural farm in Kentucky where your neighbors maybe in high end meth production in a county with literally just a couple of law enforcement officers available?  The problem is trying to narrow down the problems of such a vast country into a few simple statements. Truth is the law already prohibits the mentally ill & felons from legally purchasing guns.  However, the loopholes are astounding because the money was never invested to get all 50 state to use the same database.  Then, with state by state HIPPA laws, mental health professionals are too afraid of being sued by their patients to do the due dilligence on what is needed, and in other states, felons are often granted full rights back so that they can vote, which in some states include gun rights.  There's alot to unpackage to have real reform. @brianboru72: Speaking as someone on the outside looking in- I do understand the need for gun ownership for protection and hunting purposes. However, it really feels like it has been taken to an extreme level and needs to be reined in. For instance- would assault rifles and automatic weapons really be needed for hunting or self-defense? And as for mental illness- as much as I see your point about responsible, medicated gun owners who have minor mental illness, as a point of public safety, I personally would feel better with stricter restrictions. In the end, the statistics speak for themselves. Places like Australia and Japan have proven that limiting gun ownership leads to a big drop in gun related deaths and shootings. So really it becomes a question of what is more important- the lives of potential future victims, or the freedom to carry.

Again, a lot of words and nothing on the actual topic. I guess the left love the idea of the Labour Party having all these uneducated, man-hating, white-hating vaginalists being in charge. What next, Pablo Escobar as Drug Czar?  Al Capone as to run the alcohol and tax regulator bodies?
