No, it works through your torrent program. Just keep whatever you have downloaded seeding in that and somebody might pick up on it. For instance, earlier this week I seeded 1GB to two people for torrents that I downloaded months ago. I'd forgotten they were even seeding. So you can close your browser as you want to.
