I have my videos in my videos library. I also have windows homegroup setup, so anyone on the network can see & download what is in my video library. Also, it is shared to Plex, so I can stream it to my phone or the 60" HD TV in the living room.

I never had a "personal" computer till recently and after reading the replies I think I have used all these methods at least once, from putting inside Program Files to changing extensions to making encrypted .RAR archives to now using TrueCrypt 😄

Truecrypt, a 20+ character encryption key and an external hard drive.

In a folder called "Donny & Marie Osmond's Greatest Hits". I think no one will check there.

I don't feel the need to hide it, got a lot in my web favourites, a bookcase with some DVDs and an external disk with some.

Yes, I always like to have some with me in some form, just in case of emergencies.  One never knows when there may be a chance to rub out a quick one.

I save my porn on my NAS (which is also seeding my torrents). The NAS is password protected, and has user management. That way if others want access to my NAS, I can just give them another password and they will see other files.

Strange to read this. Why would or should I hide it? Everyone in my life more or less knows that I am watching porn, so what? I've got a partition called porn on my laptop and even if I use the laptop for a presentation at University I don't mind.

Consuming porn is like eating or breathing. I will never feel any shame for that!

Uh, I used to watch the Donny and Marie Show (or whatever it was called). First, because I still thought Donny was kinda cute, but then mostly because the show was such a train wreck, so horribly awful, that I kinda prided myself on being able to sit thru an entire hour of it. A bit like  bragging about, "Yep. Not only have I sat thru Salo (er, actually more than once), Cannibal Holocaust and Nekromantic, but I've also sat through a full hour of Donny and Marie. Multiple times (altho, granted, it took some working up to do the full hour)."

Why is the windows folder so fat and big and consumes the entire disk? Time to do OSRI. formats

I kept all my "babies" in a personal portable HDD, so if my friend borrow my laptop, I am still "str8" ( in their opinion, I guess ^^).
One more thing, make your history at your browser look " innocent" right after you did dirty "things" and everybody will never hate you ^^.

I put all my files in a secret folder. There are several files that remain unhidden for a moment because meh, nobody access the computer besides me anyway  ;D

Incognito Mode for the online stuff.
Don't really have to hide the downloaded stuff too well.  My partner knows Mac, not PC.  If I put it in a folder near something he doesn't know what it does or how to use it, it's safe.  It's in a "software" directory under a folder titled "Manual," which I decided was clever because if something is manual, you "run it by hand."  :fap:
