I'm playing the new Assassin's Creed on the PS4.

I only chose the PS4 version because GAME was selling it with a bunch of exclusive add-ons for the same price as the basic version.  XBox ONE only had the basic version.

If you love PC games or have that as your option: Get Steam if you don't already. You can knock out what you do and don't like by reviews, and the sales are on weekly (I recently tried a game just because it was 80% off and gave me 2 extra codes to give to friends to play online with as well). In addition, they often have free to play weekends, where you can play a full game for free until Monday, which is not only helpful in picking your games but great if you're looking for something to pick up and put down. Finally, look on Humble Bundle for game specials so you can have a handful to play through.

Personally, I'm still playing Civilization because I'm a control freak and I love strategy. Hope that helps!

          Edit:
The below list aren't actually brand new, so if that's what you meant with finding a new hame it can be disregarded.

Maybe you should give Gothic 2 a look, it's quite nice IMHO, some call it an RPG I personally call it an action adventure. (haven't tried Gothic 4, Gothic 3 is a bit too big for its own good, Gothic is really good but some people have a hard time with the interface and to get the mouse to work properly)

If you don't mind turn-based combat the two absolute best RPG's in my book (actually two of the best games in my book) are Fallout and Fallout2.

You might also want to give Risen a chance, it's made by the same people that made Gothic, apart from an ending I never bothered with, it was quite a nice ride.

Those are the ones I can come up with right away that might be of interest.

Of course there's also plants vs. zombies, a nice little game, yes I did see that you were vored with zombies, these zombies are of a different breed though. it's all done with a toungue in cheek attitude.

Well, MMO nowadays are not really worth the time, maybe Wildstar…

Anyway, if you like RPGs, you should try Dark Souls, yes, alot of people say that it is hard - and it is - but it's awesome when you get used to the gameplay, I have played many hours and I still play it now and then... I'm waiting for Dark Souls 2 for PC (25 apr on Steam).

You should try it, if you like it you can also play Dark Souls 2 that is coming, many hours of fun. Just don't give up when you die to the first boss.

Bioshock Infinite has a great story line!
I'd recommend Deus Ex: Human Revolution. That's a hell of a game! It's just fantastic! You said fps are not your cup of tea but I'd say you should give it a try! The game is really good! Thief is great too but, again, it's an fps.
If you like RTS games, I'd recommend Sid Meier's Civilization 5 (never played the others).

Skyrim has a LOT of replay value when you mod the game to your liking. Or so I hear…

I don't play much games either. Recently I've been only sticking with a game or two, being APB: Reloaded and Dota 2. What genre are you most into?

Maybe you would like DMC? it plays good on pc.

also the new dynasty warriors 8 extreme legends complete  is really good.  but here u need a controller… or its much better with.

I'd also always recommend half life 2 for the oure magnificence it is.

diablo 3 and starcraft 2 are very good pc games.
