Right now, DVD-R torrents are only visible to Power Users, who have a good ratio and several weeks of membership. I would like to have my torrents of DVD-Rs visible to all members.

Cannon, those links in your other post are dead. What were the files they linked to?

As you know, I have no problem keeping up my ratio. I've just noticed that fewer people are downloading my torrents at this site than at other similar sites. I'm not sure why, but I think it has to do with the fact that a lot of people never see my posts.

At another tracker site, all torrents are visible to all users, but if a user's ratio goes below a certain level, they can't actually download anything. This seems to be a more sensible way of handling the problem.

But I think I was making the point with the two dead links that a large (4+GB) non-DVD torrent was available to everyone whereas a smaller DVD torrent could only be seen by 'power users'.

I find an even more sensible way is not to worry about ratios - most sites seem to have more problems getting enough downloaders rather than keeping seeders.

I use one British TV site where it is almost impossible to seed to 1 because regulars are using seedboxes or getting in immediately. At least they have the option of a freeleech of the week to allow people to catch up.

On the other hand we both know a site which doesn't monitor ratios and it allows people to get on with other stuff
