"A Boca Raton attorney has filed a civil lawsuit in Palm Beach County Circuit Court alleging that streamer Hasan Piker incited violence against Jewish Americans who support Israel, according to the complaint."

At the center of the filing is a streaming broadcast the complaint says took place on August 20, 2026. The lawsuit quotes Piker as telling viewers that "eventually someone's going to come around and take action, not against the State of Israel, mind you, but against American Jews."

The complaint alleges that statement was a call for violence rather than criticism of a foreign government, and part of what the filing describes as a years long pattern of dehumanizing statements about Jewish people. The lawsuit attributes additional statements to Piker, including describing Israel as "Jewish ISIS" and saying Jewish Americans who support Israel are making antisemitism worse. The complaint alleges those statements amount in practical effect to a fatwa against high profile Jewish supporters of Israel

Like many libs tho: Piker opposes Free Speech, has tried to cancel & shut down people, wants to censor his opponents. So there's poetry here.

Piker should be charged with supporting Terrorists, found guilty and then executed. Free Speech is not an excuse to support Terrorists.

Personally, I generally support SCOTUS's view on free speech.

Nowhere in the world has free speech like the US.

In Europe, you can be sent to prison for stating official government stats, as seen in Belgium and France. In both cases, the person got 3 years in prison. I don't remember which is which, but one guy also got a €10,000 fine, and the other guy also got a €30,000 fine.

In the UK, it used to be that you could speak the truth and not go to prison, but you'd lose your job. Now you go to prison. You get a stiffer sentence than you would if you raped someone, as long as you weren't white. The UK arrests the most people of any country for speech. The number of prosecutions/convictions is distorted because they only show court prosecutions. There's a quasi-hidden police prosecution system. You can plead guilty and go through the police system. If you watch YouTube videos of UK cops, you can see this quite often. These don't count toward prosecutions/convictions, even though they end up on your criminal record just the same way.

The police used to have "non-crime hate crime," but the Supreme Court ruled that illegal, so the pigs changed the name to "non-crime hate incident". It appears on your criminal record, so anyone running a background check will see it. You will have a hard time getting a loan, insurance, many types of jobs, etc., etc, etc. No conviction or evidence is needed. The police just put it on your record.

So in the land of the free speech someone can be sued for saying the truth if it so happens that someone is offended? I'm not too well familiar with the US Law.

The suit can be entered. But Klayman has already had his law license stripped, for other suit he filed that some judge thought too wrong.

Florida has some odd, pro-Israel speech restrictions on its books. I'm not sure if they play in but their constitutionality needs to be tested.

I just thought it's worth watching. Messy & poetic on both sides. Florida guy who should love freedom (Klayman) uses law to punish avowed communist & pro-terrorist (Piker) who probably deserves punishment, except in my house, we like free speech & try to be consistent with it.

In the US, Incitement to violence is not classed as protected (free) speech.

Also, in the US, the 1st Amendment protects against the government. As the leftists love to remind everyone during cancel culture, it protects us from the government, not from consequences. This is a large reason why they started to wear masks, so their employers wouldn't know they were fanatics.

Hasan Piker plays both sides of the law to benefit himself. He sues to silence his enemies while claiming free speech for his own words.

Also, one of his favorite sayings is something like this: "I want to shoot him in the face" pause, "In a video game."

To me this sounds very much like a law working exactly as it was intended. Even though it doesn't protect against incitation, what is considered incitation is still havily subjective.

I wouldn't move a finger to defend Hasan as I never really liked him, precisely for the way he incites violence whilst making a ton of money and living a pretty comfortable life that doesn't require him to actually do any of the things he say people should do.

It's not that I disagree on the premise of violence as a means to fight oppression, I just find it too hypocritical that the people who are most vocal about it usually make a money out of it and are never an example of what they're saying. This is not a particularity of Hasan or leftists in general, but the reality of most people who make money through Politics, be it an actual Politician, commentators or whatever.

It is indeed poetical that he's being sued by that guy of all people, I do hope he wins because I am curious to see if the American Jewish Committee will say the entire US judiciary system is antisemite, or if it's just that one judge in particular.
